Hey guys, in this video we will show you how to remove or replace rear door speaker on VW Jetta MK6 or VW Golf MK6 4 door. We demonstrated on the driver left rear door speaker removal; however, the passenger right rear door speaker will be the same procedure. This car is a 2011 VW Jetta. It should be the same for the whole generation from 2011 to 2016

Tip for anyone doing this. Use a smaller drill bit for the rivets. The speaker size is 6.5" and make sure not to exceed 2.5 inches depth.
Also use rivnuts to replace the rivets then you can use a standard machine screw to fix the speakers to the door.

What size screw did you use?

I replaced my front speakers with the same VW Fender stock. Drilled out the rivets with a 3/32 bit and installed new speakers with #14 3/4” sheet metal screws and a bit of blue loctite.

I think the rear spear are smaller then the fronts. 5.25 inch. The fronts are 6.5. I THINK!

The factory speakers are riveted in so they need to be drilled out.

In my car all of the rear speakers are not working only front one works, the car rear doors has not been opened before. I opened first time I couldn’t find anything wrong with it but Idk how to fix it? Can you help?
