    We camp here every year as a boy scout troop and were from Western Washington State (Sedro-Woolley)

    Having just done some exploring in the Ancient Lakes area, it was fun to watch your videos. But I was very disappointed by Jen's comment about the 'old couple' she saw and how she hoped she didn't look that 'pathetic.' Surely we should be applauding and celebrating people of all ages who are outside hiking and adventuring, and not making disparaging remarks about them.

    You guys are awesome! I'm new to backpacking and live in WA so these videos are really helpful to get a feel for which trails are worth checking out. Keep doing what you're doing!

      We are super stoked this is helping! Here's a great beginner backpacking trail. Just make sure you show up early or hit it on a Friday after work. www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/annette-lake

    Another fun, cool video. I've hiked this as well. Fun area with several Geocaches.

      Jen was able to find quite a few geocaches out there. Right now, most things are still covered in snow on the mountain tops, so she gets what she can find. :)

    We just came back from a trip there! A bit early and cold, cold, cold, but so worth it. Short, but nice start to the season.

    The cliff u see attached to the lake is a popular cliff jumping spot

    That camera is HUGE! What kind is that?

    • @OutsideAndStuff
      @OutsideAndStuff  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's my Canon 5D Mkiii with 24-105mm lense. It's a beast of a still camera, not so great for video. As I write this, I am almost ready to pre-order the Fuji X-T2. It's got 4K video and weighs almost 2lbs less than my Canon.

      Steve Hughes I've got recommendations galore, just depends on what you would like to get into? I've got a couple videos on here from the olympics. They are my older videos but check out: The High Divide, Hoh River, Shi Shi Beach. You can also see a lot of photos and blog posts from my trips to the Olympics from my photo blog: www.nickbotner.com/blog

    Lol you guys took the longest way I live in Quincy and we climb around the waterfall it way shorter

    • @OutsideAndStuff
      @OutsideAndStuff  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely a shorter route. But so much to see in terms of wildlife if you take the slightly longer route. :)
