BENGAL TIGERS OF INDIA | A wild India like no other in Ranthambore National Park
Welcome to a different India. To a wild India, where the tiger is the main protagonist of this episode. Going to India for me was synonymous with having the possibility to observe this powerful feline. After reading a bit about the best national parks for tiger watching, we opted for Ranthambore National Park.
We are not allowed to drive alone through the park. We always have to go with a car, driver and guide from the park or through some private agency. The private agencies we found ask for a very high price, so we decided to try to buy tickets online - which didn't work either. We had to buy it through our hotel, but that acted as a kind of intermediary. This is because the Hotel bought the tickets in the official way, charging only a small fee.
Ranthambore National Park is divided into 10 zones, and the first zones are the best for watching tigers - up to zone 6, but lately zone 10 has also been good. It was in zone 10 that we saw 2 tigers.
During the night, on the way to the Tiger Valley Hotel, we managed to observe 1 leopard that was roaming, some deer and also owls.
