I read somewhere on TH-cam this type of crematorium when the coffin is lowered via the catafalque down to the retorts/furnaces the depth is as much as 70'ft, now that's significantly more than a burial in a cemetery,yes it's two different types of saying goodbye to somebody but 70'ft now that is an incredible depth of a final resting place ,it must be quite a pretty bleak place for the technicians so far underground ......do they have the luxury of windows/daylight!!!! it's a lot to take on-board,.
