well was on my way to bed, forgot youtube was still on, then heard this guy singing ... toe tapping music, get up n dance music, lol ... rock on! n thanks from down under, xx
4 a.m. couple years ago, looking up at the tent roof ... tent roof? Looking out in sorta a haze after telling my job to.. well fuck off, won't be in again. What have I done far away stare... my phone slipped down out of my fingers to my side TH-cam app opened and I heard John Craigie's voice.."Under the marquee" with the Shook twins. I've always loved music, I don't play, don't sing, no talent. Music is just apart of my fabric, deep, only way I can make it sometimes. I'll say it... John Craigie is immensely talented, humbly skilled.. genius
Same. Never heard of him, saw that a show nearby was almost sold out (the first one already was), so I figured he might be good. “Good” is an understatement. I now have tickets to that almost-sold-out show, and can’t wait.
I wish John would simply have a consistent band like this one, without a band some of his songs just aren’t right but I get you gotta make a living. I don’t know how he isn’t incredibly popular and filling venues of at least 4-6k people if not more.
This Baltimore girl LOVES your music! After watching this concert here on TH-cam, I found you and Langhorne Slim playing this year at The Birchmere in Alexandria, VA. Fantastic show. I bought an "I Ain't Old, Baby I'm Brand New" t-shirt. Thank you for the music!
Brilliant, as someone else said, coming to him late but delighted to find him. What an original talent. As a guitar player I’m struck by his rock-solid sense of rhythm. He probably doesn’t want to be huge, but he should be.
I Jove your music so much John! I really loved watching this live recording cause I love your storytelling & humor! I only hope I can see you live someday! Nicole in WI
Now you're talking, lol, awesome. Please come to Halifax when you can. Great, small city. And second fastest growing in Canada. Amazing young musical culture, always was. Second oldest city in North America I think.
Ha! I just heard the end of this show, and the Prine reference. My earlier comments were what they were, had no idea you were a Prine fan. 1992 Highwaymen, live, Halifax Nova Scotia. I was 18 and happy forever.

I'm almost 50 years old, well versed in beautiful wonderful music. This man happened upon my TH-cam or spotify tonight. I'm fucking blown away

Sad? John wouldn't want you to be.
I just discovered him in 2023. He is absolutely amazing! And very easy on the eyes too. :)

This performance at Pickathon in the woods was my first time seeing, or hearing, John Craigie. THANK YOU 🙏
dude is funny!
Just heard pictures on my phone lol, modern day, amazing John Prine type artist if that makes sense. So original, so real, I'm so amazed and happy

Yes! All this live music brings me right back to my happy place (a JC show). :D
What a treat, thank you!
Lovely stuff. Great comic too, reminds me of Mitch Hedberg but straighter
Haha I was listening to Craigie with my girlfriend the other day and she asked if it was Mitch. Now every time I hear him I think of Mitch.
awesome

My six year old daughter is going to watch her play the harp, like she's never seen anyone play it before, wow

How ca
can I find where you are performing this year 2022. I really hope you are, I'll be there.
Couple of blue ribbons I guess. Saw John Prine live three times in Halifax, he got better every time and I didn't know that was possible
