I have stayed at Secrets Maroma Beach many times, most recently May 2023. I am actually going back tomorrow April 3, 2024. I always do the “Preferred Club”, so my question is if in your video you make mention of your room being “PC”, why are you not in a PC building ? And why don’t you have the outdoor soaking tub on your balcony ?? This just doesn’t seem to make any sense to me.
@glennbar66 Great question! For this stay, I was granted all of the Preferred Club amenities but my specific room is not usually categorized as Preferred Club. My mini-fridge and snacks were stocked with the extras that are included with Preferred Club, as were the bath amenities and privileges within the resort, like access to the beach club. The only difference between this room and other Preferred Club Junior Suite Ocean View rooms is that there is not a tub on the balcony (which I never use).
Ok that now makes sense. I do know that the PC club suites ALL have the soaking tub on the balcony and are much closer to the beach (Bldgs #16,17,25,26,27). Based on your video it was obvious you were much farther from the beach, a non PC building. Basically you just upgraded for the PC privileges and not the room type.
@@glennbar66 This room is at the end of building 15 closest to Preferred Club building 16. I think the wide angle lens may make it appear further from the beach/ocean than it really is. The interior and exterior of the room is identical with the exception of the tub on the balcony. The view is actually better than some of the Preferred Club Ocean View rooms in building 16 that are blocked by the Preferred Club Ocean Front rooms of building 17. Have a wonderful time at Secrets Maroma tomorrow! Enjoy your time in paradise!
@@liselltravel yes I totally know what you are saying, having been there so many times I know the layout inside and out. Typically I go for PC in building 26, that is my go to. As a second option I would request #25. Both # 25 & 26 are located right near the PC lounge and also the PC restaurant, a simple short walk to both. I know it’s alike splitting hairs but for the amount of $$$ I spend here I can be picky, and have no problem requesting either building a few days prior to my arrival. Anyhow keep up the good work, and thank you for your response. I will be there in about 18 hours from now, cannot wait 👍

What email address do you normally use for your room request? as I might make a request. We'll be there end of October, I cant wait. We had a Preferred Master Suite at Secrets Playa Mujeres for my birthday last year and that was amazing :D

Akumal is another great option! Make sure you snorkel with the turtles while you are there. ❤
