UPDATE! You can flash your Bio file easily over your network. Hard drive / Dvd drive do not need to be plugged in. 1. Boot the console with an ethernet cable plugged in. 2. Go to your Network settings in Xenium Menu and take note of your Xbox's Ip address. 3. Go to Launch Menu, Add new Item. 4. On your Computer, load up a web browser and type in your Xbox's ip address (ex. 192.168.1.69) From here you can upload your bios file to flash it.
@@ModzvilleUSAHi, How do I download files from xbin? I need the unleashx network patch to play with insignia, and I don't know how to download it from that website. thank you
Looks much faster than how I (soft)modded mine. I did the ye old IDE bios flash via old ass Compaq Presario. It took a whole day (cloning the HDD and eeprom was a lot of fun smh lol) I really miss ISO Zone dot com. They had some amazing Homebrew, an assortment of isos, and Streets of Rage Remix XB Port ToT
I tried this with another LPC board and had a MISERABLE time Burnt traces, ruined points on the board, and could not for the life of me get any solder to flow or stick to the rebuild board. Any ideas on why my time didn't go as smooth as yours did in the video? I tried various different temps, solder and flux.
Good video! I installed this chip in my 1.6. The way you did D0 (on the LPC rebuild board) might not be optimal for the OpenXenium though because it prevents TSOP booting from working if that's something that's desired. So I did my D0 bridge on the OpenXenium itself. But if you don't intend to ever boot the onboard TSOP it's a moot point, but figured I'd mention my findings.
So I did mine just like modzville did, and I indeed cannot boot off the TSOP. What exactly about this tutorial makes it so that TSOP booting is not available, and what did you do differently? If you could link a guide you used that would be amazing. Thank you!
@@dickindynamo This is the official documentation that I referenced: www.openxenium.com/guides/OpenXenium%20v1_6%20install.pdf What you'd do differently is remove the bridge on the D0-GND point on the LPC board. It's circled in red on the first picture on page 6 of that document. You replace it by doing the equivalent bridge on the OpenXenium itself, the second picture of that same page. The reason this happens is because the way the OpenXenium does TSOP booting is by releasing that D0-GND bridge and rebooting, which essentially disables the OpenXenium and boots to the TSOP for that boot. It can't do that when the same connection is made elsewhere, like via the LPC board.
Double D0 to ground works just fine i did mine by accident 🙃 but do you have a video of what to do after you chip is installed if so can you please reply with the link
So I accidentally unlocked the HD on my soft-modded OG Xbox and now I get an error 05. With this modchip installed, do you know if I can just go to the eprom menu and lock the HD again to fix the 05 error? Tnx.

I’m just trying to clean up my old xbox. I’ve got a xenium ice chip. Any pointers on where to find the most up to date OS’s?
I got an Xbox from a thrift store with Xenium installed but I cannot find any info on adding games! Any chance you could help me out
Nice! I've actually got an x3 with an lcd. :) lcd for the modern era. ;P
Can you solder the pin header to the mobo, then solder the lpc rebuild on top of that ?
So with the Xenium chip you don’t have to cut the LFRAME trace on the 1.6 motherboards like you do when installing the Aladdin modchip?
How did you get hexen on your harddrive do you copy from a disk it like you do with games to run games from the hard drive
