Been slowly getting back into OSRS! Got it on mobile, loving Ironman so far. Something I wanted to bring up, you mentioned selling items when store stock is under 5. From what I saw in my glorious grind was that if there is even just one of the item you're trying to sell in stock, GP gain goes down (Incrementally? Exponentially? Not sure what to categorize the formula). Takes up more time, sure, but more gold!:D Currently at 55 Mining and 48 Smithing, selling Steel Platebody for 800 GP a pop. I can't wait until I earn the privilege to enter Falador Mine's Gated Spot, happy grinding fellow Gielinorians!!

Thank you for the comment man! 👍👍👍 Yeah you are 100% correct, the ideal case is 0 stock as you get the best price, and yeah as soon as there is stock the price you will get reduces quite drastically. The reason i recommend under 5 is because a lot of ppl use Grums store to sell as you get a much better price than the general stores (which is one of the few other options for a F2P Ironman) so it can be quite hard to find worlds with zero stock. But yeah if you can spare the time its definitely more coin! I'm just too impatient... 😅😅😅

Every ruby should be crafted in ruby rings. Murky Matt at GE enchants them for 250gp in a ring of forging. This gives you 140 iron bars, thus 28 iron platebodies. So every ruby could be worth 5k smithing xp and around 8k by selling the platebodys!

on my hcim, i just got 20 def and i think i had around 15 hp and then I just picked up steel platebodys in wild and sold them to the body shop in var. for enough to buy fully addy armor, rune pick, mith pick and 10k left over for anything else i wanted. (saw a lot of people but they seemed to just be competition)

Yes, you can hop worlds and don't get kicked out of the vault. I have 3488 rings so far, great for money making. Put ctc3 in osrs wiki and you only need to do the last 2 steps 1. Dig at the water alter with the stuff in your inventory 2. Do all the emots in order at the basement vault door in Varric. It easy to mess this up so may have to try twice I have completed ctc3 on 3 different accounts
Yeah that's a good point, that box is really close by. Though its only for deposits, you can't make withdrawals from it... 😢😢😢 There is a banking chest in the Crafting guild that members can use which is a tad closer than Falador... maybe?... 😅😅😅
Hmm Hard leather 🤔 do you mean hard leather bodies? Or just the material? The material can get a decent price on the GE, the bodies unfortunately only sell for 6 coins. The Bandit store in the wildy might give you a better price but it’s in the wildy so it’s risky… Personally I’d just sell them and accept the low price 😅😬 Hope that helps you decide, sorry I couldn’t give you a better solution! 😁👍
Watching video and so far so good but you could have just brought the symbol and crafted them same time as you smelted the bars, moving to edgeville is a mistake, you can’t get closer than already there.

Iron platebodies sell at ~200 gp a pop, but they require on average 10 iron ore to make. You end up with way too much mining xp, not enough smithing, and no crafting! Looks like I'm working on crafting until I can do gold jewelry. I want to make some enchanted gear anyways, time to use up my pile of gems!

Yeah I just made gold jewellery to sell 😅 The alternative is to use the gems (at least the rubies) to make rings of forging to get around the 10 iron ore, plus if you can’t enchant the rings yourself there’s a guy at the GE who will do it for you. Definitely something I need to look into for another video guide… gd luck 🍀 with the crafting dude! Silver symbols are a good way to get your crafting up to gold and even after as gold can take awhile to mine…

A point on rubys, don't make them into necklaces to sell, make them into rings and have them enchanted by the NPC at the GE (the one standing on the runecraft symbol) into rings of forging for 250gp each. Equip a ring of forging, grab your chronicle and Falador tele rune (use a staff of air to save runes). Chronicle to the champions guild, mine a full inv of iron at the Varrock west mine, tele to Falador and smelt them into iron bars (remember to grab another ring of forging once it depletes). Bank the bars at the Falador west bank then chronicle back to the champions guild, rinse and repeat. When you run out of rings of forging, go to the Varrock west bank and use the anvils to the south to make all of your bars into iron platebodies (requires 33 smithing). Once you've made all of your platebodies, take them to the armour shop in Varrock and sell 5 at a time for 1.5k gp. 1 ring of forging will get you 28 platebodies, selling for 8150gp, meaning each ruby is worth 8150gp which is over 5 times better gp per ruby compared to making ruby necklaces and selling them to the jewelry shop.

For better crafting exp AND money, buy uncut gems from gem trader in Al Kharid, they restock every 2-4h and you can world hop when they restock to get 100+ gems. Then make a bunch of necklaces!
F2P HC ironman, and default stock for uncut saphs and emeralds = 1. So if you monitor the gem trader every 15 mins until his stock resets (check while mining and smithing gold), you can pounce when they restock, and worldhop. Check out Al Kharid gem trader wiki for restock rates ☺️
Yeah, UIM is a totally different kettle of fish... Not something I've really gone into too much... Yeah I was always under the impression that those gem traders never had any stock in F2P! Definitely worth checking and buying any stock of Sapphires or Emeralds! Great tip! 😀👍😀👍
Would definitely be an option to get some use out of the crafting guild in F2P for sure. At a guess I’d say that the run between the guild and the deposit box will be as long if not longer than Al Kharid. If I get a chance I’ll run some numbers and see. The fastest mining gold in F2P is probably the dwarven mine using the Falador exit and the east bank, but there’s only 2 gold veins so world hopping would be a must….
Ok soooo i did a bit of investigation and from the calculations and runs i did, mining silver in West Varrock is definitely faster, so going from the Mine to the West Bank is about 50% quicker than doing the same in Al Kharid. The only issue is that there are only 3 Silver veins so it might get crowded versus Al Kharid which has 5. So the time saved is offset against a longer time to get a full inventory of Silver. The fastest way to get to Edgevile in F2P, i found was to use the skull sceptre to Barb Village and then run from there, takes about 30s. The canoe is way longer. Equally if you are doing it all in one run you will have to carry a pick, an axe and the chronicle so you're already down 3 inventory spaces per trip and the trip takes about 30% longer so you lose a lot of efficiency. Hope that makes some sense 😅😅😅 In short deffo use the West V Mine and West V Bank combo if you prefer it, but I'd avoid regular trips to Edgevile with the canoe for smelting, do it in big batches. Hope that helped! 👍👍👍

Al kharid silver mining is definitely not the best, varrock mining is, you can teleport with cronicle to the champions guild and if you have law runes, you can also teleport to varrock and again, crafting guild is still the best method for gold mining, just use falador teleports, basically you should focus on killing ogresses first before any skilling, if you need early money, just go do some steel platebody/platelegs runs in the wildy

@@TheLumbridgeKnight I'd basically say rush ogresses, get atleast 99 range there, you will have like 60-65k law runes by the end of the grind + 60-65k natures and deaths, plenty to get 80+smithing and mage aswell from the grind
@@TheLumbridgeKnight also you can do the steel platebody runs at combat 3 basically if you really wanted to, losing your hcim aint that big of a deal at level 3, do like 4 runs and youll have 100-120k which is plenty enough, i only did one run with my new account, got enough for 37 mage, 45 range and dragonslayer, and im already at the ogresses, got 2 rune meds and 1 fullhelm yesterday, been playing that account for literally 4 days
Also in general crafting and such, I always recommend you unlock the canoe to ferox, as you can restore energy, and it's certainly worth doing. You just take the occasional canoe to ferox, restore energy and chronicle back. With an alt in alkarid you can do a similar trick and restore your run by starting a duel with an alt and leaving right away. If you're an iron and you want to make it especially easy to bank silver for selling later, I suggest go vwm, then canoe to ferox to bank everytime to restore energy + bank. Then you can make all the symbols/tiaras in edgeville. If you don't mind selling as you go and taking the gp loss, you can canoe to lumbrige instead, and sell In general store. Both these methods use chronicle to quickly reset. @@TheLumbridgeKnight

Is it not worth it to just have a holy symbol mold in your inventory, smelt silver bars and make the symbols all in one go at the furnace on your way back to the Al-Kharid bank? I know Edgeville furnace is closer to a bank, but you walk by the Al-Kharid furnace on your way to the bank anyway. Seems like it would save time in the long run
Hello Matthew, thanks for the comment dude! 👍👍👍 Soooo i think I'd probably have to agree with you for the silver runs as you only need around 200 bars it might save you the time taking a trip to Edgeville. And in actual fact i think i probably did just stay in Al Kharid when doing silver. In all honesty I'd have to run a few test runs and get precise timings as i think it will purely depend on the quantity. So a smaller quantity just stick to Al Kharid For doing larger ones, having the extra inventory slot will make a difference over time so banking it and moving to Edgeville will probably be more efficient. You can speed up the Edgeville walk time with the river canoe or using the Skull Sceptre Teleport too! 😎😎😎
Yo lexiatel! So it kind of depends how low level and what your aspirations are. The reason it’s worth getting into a good financial position is because you have to use the in game vendors to buy and sell everything. This generally (not all the time) means you pay more for your weapons and armour, while making less money from sales (until you unlock high alchemy). Plus as you’ve got to do everything the manual method you want every advantage you can get and top class gear is an easy win 😅 Hope that makes sense. I mean you don’t have to specifically go and make coins until you’re into the Rune items category and you could just train and farm drops, it just might take a bit longer 🤷🏻♂️
To get the ruby ring you can actually stand inside the vault and grab everything. Check out the encrypted clue. You’ll need a full inventory of items and use 18 emotes and the mysterious old man will teleport you inside

For the mining part. If you have 40 if you mine the 2 gold along with the 5 silver you don't have to world hop. This let's you make amulets etc as well for nice gp or ammys to use
I personally enjoy the crafting guild for f2p ironmen. I start at falador bank with my tiara/holy mould and runes for a falador teleport, then fill the rest of my inverntory with rune essence. I then begin walking to the crafting guild and along the way I craft up some air runes. After filling up on silver teleport back to falador to smelt it up and then just rinse and repeat. Maybe this isn't the most efficient way, but its passive RC xp while you grind mining, smithing, crafting and collect GP
That’s a great process you have! If you tally up you total XP/ph I bet that’s still a decent technique! I think I might just be bitter at the crafting guild cos of it not having a furnace and the bank chest being members only… 😅 thanks for the comment MrAnjelorion! Looks like a good method! Anchovy pizzas I presume? How much profit do you make? The guide on the wiki recons 2.5k pizzas an hour about 50k profit (if buying the ingredients off the GE)

I think i just killed multiple cows on the same spot so it just looked like that on the video i think it always drops cowhide on top meat in the middle and bones on the bottom. RuneLite has some selection options that might make it easier to pick up certain times, but i don't think you can change this and i didn't have anything special set up. I see this you are a HCIM but another tip is selling items in the store in the wilderness as it gives better prices. also collecting steel platebodys is great for money making. I did a couple of inventorys on my ironman and was able to fish up to 68 with the feathers i paid for

I would say the crafting guild is worth it since you don't have as much competition for the gold rocks and the number of rocks is high enough that, by the time you've mined the last one, the first one has already respawned. Since you don't need to world hop and/or wait around for the rocks to respawn, I'd think it's the faster method even if it's a little further from a bank.

You could definitely use the deposit box in Port Sarum to save a bit of time 🤔 I think did run a comparison between crafting guild runs and Al kharid runs, with Al kharid being slightly faster… Just so frustrating that the bank chest in the guild is members only 😢 I suppose non-irons could use a second account as a bank mule to just walk to and from the bank while the main account mines? You can get the rubie rings now. Do crack the clue 3. It's like a quest. And you will have access to the Varric bank vault

A point on rubys, don't make them into necklaces to sell, make them into rings and have them enchanted by the NPC at the GE (the one standing on the runecraft symbol) into rings of forging for 250gp each.
Equip a ring of forging, grab your chronicle and Falador tele rune (use a staff of air to save runes).
Chronicle to the champions guild, mine a full inv of iron at the Varrock west mine, tele to Falador and smelt them into iron bars (remember to grab another ring of forging once it depletes). Bank the bars at the Falador west bank then chronicle back to the champions guild, rinse and repeat.
When you run out of rings of forging, go to the Varrock west bank and use the anvils to the south to make all of your bars into iron platebodies (requires 33 smithing). Once you've made all of your platebodies, take them to the armour shop in Varrock and sell 5 at a time for 1.5k gp. 1 ring of forging will get you 28 platebodies, selling for 8150gp, meaning each ruby is worth 8150gp which is over 5 times better gp per ruby compared to making ruby necklaces and selling them to the jewelry shop.

For better crafting exp AND money, buy uncut gems from gem trader in Al Kharid, they restock every 2-4h and you can world hop when they restock to get 100+ gems. Then make a bunch of necklaces!

F2P HC ironman, and default stock for uncut saphs and emeralds = 1. So if you monitor the gem trader every 15 mins until his stock resets (check while mining and smithing gold), you can pounce when they restock, and worldhop. Check out Al Kharid gem trader wiki for restock rates ☺️
Yeah, UIM is a totally different kettle of fish... Not something I've really gone into too much... Yeah I was always under the impression that those gem traders never had any stock in F2P! Definitely worth checking and buying any stock of Sapphires or Emeralds! Great tip! 😀👍😀👍
would using the quick deposit box at port sarim not be worth using the crafting guild for gold ores?
Would definitely be an option to get some use out of the crafting guild in F2P for sure. At a guess I’d say that the run between the guild and the deposit box will be as long if not longer than Al Kharid. If I get a chance I’ll run some numbers and see. The fastest mining gold in F2P is probably the dwarven mine using the Falador exit and the east bank, but there’s only 2 gold veins so world hopping would be a must….
What about mining silver in v west canoeing to edge furnace then chronicle back to v west?
Ok soooo i did a bit of investigation and from the calculations and runs i did, mining silver in West Varrock is definitely faster, so going from the Mine to the West Bank is about 50% quicker than doing the same in Al Kharid. The only issue is that there are only 3 Silver veins so it might get crowded versus Al Kharid which has 5. So the time saved is offset against a longer time to get a full inventory of Silver.
The fastest way to get to Edgevile in F2P, i found was to use the skull sceptre to Barb Village and then run from there, takes about 30s. The canoe is way longer. Equally if you are doing it all in one run you will have to carry a pick, an axe and the chronicle so you're already down 3 inventory spaces per trip and the trip takes about 30% longer so you lose a lot of efficiency.
Hope that makes some sense 😅😅😅 In short deffo use the West V Mine and West V Bank combo if you prefer it, but I'd avoid regular trips to Edgevile with the canoe for smelting, do it in big batches. Hope that helped! 👍👍👍

First site I found and you can literally download all of the songs. Al kharid silver mining is definitely not the best, varrock mining is, you can teleport with cronicle to the champions guild and if you have law runes, you can also teleport to varrock and again, crafting guild is still the best method for gold mining, just use falador teleports, basically you should focus on killing ogresses first before any skilling, if you need early money, just go do some steel platebody/platelegs runs in the wildy

@@TheLumbridgeKnight I'd basically say rush ogresses, get atleast 99 range there, you will have like 60-65k law runes by the end of the grind + 60-65k natures and deaths, plenty to get 80+smithing and mage aswell from the grind
@@TheLumbridgeKnight also you can do the steel platebody runs at combat 3 basically if you really wanted to, losing your hcim aint that big of a deal at level 3, do like 4 runs and youll have 100-120k which is plenty enough, i only did one run with my new account, got enough for 37 mage, 45 range and dragonslayer, and im already at the ogresses, got 2 rune meds and 1 fullhelm yesterday, been playing that account for literally 4 days

instead of banking the hides which are not worth much, you can make the leather items while walking back to the cows.

@@TheLumbridgeKnight Yup, lots of little tweaks to save time, especially in f2p where run energy is such a precious resource.
Also in general crafting and such, I always recommend you unlock the canoe to ferox, as you can restore energy, and it's certainly worth doing. You just take the occasional canoe to ferox, restore energy and chronicle back.
With an alt in alkarid you can do a similar trick and restore your run by starting a duel with an alt and leaving right away.
If you're an iron and you want to make it especially easy to bank silver for selling later, I suggest go vwm, then canoe to ferox to bank everytime to restore energy + bank.
Then you can make all the symbols/tiaras in edgeville.
If you don't mind selling as you go and taking the gp loss, you can canoe to lumbrige instead, and sell In general store.
Both these methods use chronicle to quickly reset.

Is it not worth it to just have a holy symbol mold in your inventory, smelt silver bars and make the symbols all in one go at the furnace on your way back to the Al-Kharid bank? I know Edgeville furnace is closer to a bank, but you walk by the Al-Kharid furnace on your way to the bank anyway. Seems like it would save time in the long run
Hello Matthew, thanks for the comment dude! 👍👍👍 Soooo i think I'd probably have to agree with you for the silver runs as you only need around 200 bars it might save you the time taking a trip to Edgeville. And in actual fact i think i probably did just stay in Al Kharid when doing silver. In all honesty I'd have to run a few test runs and get precise timings as i think it will purely depend on the quantity. So a smaller quantity just stick to Al Kharid For doing larger ones, having the extra inventory slot will make a difference over time so banking it and moving to Edgeville will probably be more efficient. You can speed up the Edgeville walk time with the river canoe or using the Skull Sceptre Teleport too! 😎😎😎

Yo lexiatel! So it kind of depends how low level and what your aspirations are. The reason it’s worth getting into a good financial position is because you have to use the in game vendors to buy and sell everything. This generally (not all the time) means you pay more for your weapons and armour, while making less money from sales (until you unlock high alchemy). Plus as you’ve got to do everything the manual method you want every advantage you can get and top class gear is an easy win 😅 Hope that makes sense. I mean you don’t have to specifically go and make coins until you’re into the Rune items category and you could just train and farm drops, it just might take a bit longer 🤷🏻♂️
To get the ruby ring you can actually stand inside the vault and grab everything. Check out the encrypted clue. You’ll need a full inventory of items and use 18 emotes and the mysterious old man will teleport you inside

For the mining part. If you have 40 if you mine the 2 gold along with the 5 silver you don't have to world hop. This let's you make amulets etc as well for nice gp or ammys to use

I personally enjoy the crafting guild for f2p ironmen. I start at falador bank with my tiara/holy mould and runes for a falador teleport, then fill the rest of my inverntory with rune essence. I then begin walking to the crafting guild and along the way I craft up some air runes. After filling up on silver teleport back to falador to smelt it up and then just rinse and repeat. Maybe this isn't the most efficient way, but its passive RC xp while you grind mining, smithing, crafting and collect GP
That’s a great process you have! If you tally up you total XP/ph I bet that’s still a decent technique! Yo man if you download the RuneLite client it’s part of the mining ⛏ plugin just have to turn it on. There’s tones of other useful settings too 👌 check out the link for RuneLite in the video description 👍

Looks like a good method! Anchovy pizzas I presume? How much profit do you make? The guide on the wiki recons 2.5k pizzas an hour about 50k profit (if buying the ingredients off the GE)

I am just skilling with a minor profit focus currently as I do not have the funds to just power level.

Yo Spoteddy, hows it going? Do you mean the cows in Lumbridge? I think i just killed multiple cows on the same spot so it just looked like that on the video i think it always drops cowhide on top meat in the middle and bones on the bottom. RuneLite has some selection options that might make it easier to pick up certain times, but i don't think you can change this and i didn't have anything special set up. I see this you are a HCIM but another tip is selling items in the store in the wilderness as it gives better prices. also collecting steel platebodys is great for money making. I did a couple of inventorys on my ironman and was able to fish up to 68 with the feathers i paid for

I would say the crafting guild is worth it since you don't have as much competition for the gold rocks and the number of rocks is high enough that, by the time you've mined the last one, the first one has already respawned. Since you don't need to world hop and/or wait around for the rocks to respawn, I'd think it's the faster method even if it's a little further from a bank.

You could definitely use the deposit box in Port Sarum to save a bit of time 🤔 I think did run a comparison between crafting guild runs and Al kharid runs, with Al kharid being slightly faster… Just so frustrating that the bank chest in the guild is members only 😢 I suppose non-irons could use a second account as a bank mule to just walk to and from the bank while the main account mines?
