  • So I have collected a lot of single card circuit boards.my attempt is to find the easiest, cheapest way to break them up so when I give them a bath it will strip off all the precious metals. Under the black epoxy is a gold plate in each bubble. I've tried heating them which is time consuming to do each one. I've tried chiseling which again....time consuming. The hand operated shredder works fairly well until the tips go dull from the fiberglass. Which just gets resharpened. I think carbon tips would be better but a little bit more expensive then what I'm doing.

What a great idea, i was thinking of how to get the boards to smaller sizes . So I could pulverize them in a smaller hand held grinder.

the major issue is with hat little experiment, the metal pipe rubbing on the fiberglass board dulls the edge pretty quick. I gave up after accumulating about 300lbs of those screen boards. I gave the boards away . I did not want the acid stuff around my two children. since then I've started to accumulate more boards to process. I also collect the gold pins off bad boards that would be trashed and have now where to sell them at the moment.

The black blobs have gold bond wires in them. Put them with with your chips.

So Ive never tried any methods to get the gold off. however a question: what melts the blobs to get to the gold to begin with?

to open the gold wire, after this grinder, you need to use another one - according to the principle of a coffee grinder. from a saucepan, a motor from a vacuum cleaner and a homemade knife.

video of this? Ive collected a large amount of these boards. there is a flat gold plate un each epoxy dropplet as well. Also i found out the metal against the circuit board wears out the blade pretty quick.

@@HypnotixHaze.Magic.hypnosis. inside the epoxy drop there is a wire for welding the microcircuit terminals. just like in conventional microcircuits in classic packages. the blade must be made of special steel, not a water pipe. The blade is dull not by the metallization of the boards, but by the material of the board itself. boards (always post) are made of fiberglass, and the hardness of fiberglass is high enough to quickly blunt even a factory tool made of high-quality steel.
