10-11 years ago I would play the flash version of the original Kingdom Rush on a website I forgot the name of during school break on the school computer, then I wasn't allowed to anymore cause the teacher thought little tiny blood puddles after a enemy was defeated were too gory & therefore inappropriate for a child, it was a very nice teacher by the way so I don't think she was being mean or anything. While I was only able to play it for a few days, for like a maximum of 25 minutes each of those few days, I loved it, now I own the games & I've played all of them, except the new one, I'll get around eventually to it.
I've been thinking about getting it, just wasn't sure if it had enough content to be worth the 20$ price. The flash games were good, but they still seemed very copy and pasty tower defense.
1:39 Idk why this bothers me so much, but I have to say this out loud (this is a message to the dev/game, not to wanderbot , since he still said it right :P) It's barracks, not barrack. Barracks is one of the rare words in English that are plural in form but singular in construction.
The biggest upgrade for me was the fact that you can now MOVE reinforcements. Not like you placed them on the road and they stay there for 15 seconds or until they die. You can move them around the rood
The first kingdom rush had a 2x speed in the flash game version from what I remember. It's not much of a problem when you get to the more difficult levels, but I get what you mean.
I have played every single one of the Kingdom Rush games, I just got to the final level. These games are amazing. I do feel that The steam version is a little over priced since its £7.50 on Google play, or its included in the play pass on android. £16.50 on steam is a bit much imo. The game is amazing, honestly its great fun. But I also think this game is insanely hard on harder stages. The upgrade system is not as good as previous games imo. Just my thoughts. Still a great game though.
I stop being a kingdom rush fan because they now only allow you to bring 5 types of towers into a game. frontiers was the gold standard of tower defence
I have to say that I love kingdom rush but the 4th game killed most of my interest with having to pay for most of the towers. With heroes I can understand and get behind the monetization but when you're pay walling towers in a tower defense games it just sucks.
Currently playing through the first 4 games. I like the idea of the towers in 4 and 5, but it makes it that you either balance the game that lategame towers are clearly better than the early game tower at the same jobs, making it one-dimensional, or everything is balanced making it so that you need to figure out the right towers at hard levels (as in, future ones), forcing you to play at least twice if you didnt pi k the correct ones randomly from the get-go
Vengeance is more fun with all the variety of towers . It brought something new and wasn't a copy paste from the first games .idk why people didn't enjoy vengeance. The only problem was that it ended too fast and it was quite easy.

The only problem With this game is, it ends. I love All kingdom Rush games.

My problem is the units the need to be blocked to kill and all the flying spam means that single tower type only runs are basically impossible :(

Hope you finish the game as it`s totally worth its time during the first playthrough + the difficulty gets exponentially higher with each act.

The series keeps going, and each game looks nicer and nicer, but keeping the same vibe as the older games.
The entire kingdom rush series is my absolute favorite. Played them all so many times trying harder and harder challenges every time.

I haven't heard anything about this series since i beat the first game on my phone. A decade ago. Never even wondered if there was a sequel.

Game certainly has some issues, and I would still prefer 1 and 2, but hey. At least it's better than Vengance
