I like this kind of song that gives you some kind of harmony, emotional yet calm feeling. Never watched the anime yet but I believe I should, I'm guessing a bunch of cold blooded gun wielding anime girls that were puppet'd by some mastermind, do killings in the name of justice and discipline, and then slowly gained conscious? If so, then this song perfectly fits.
manga reader here. your guess is not so far but actually the plot is more complex. this one really gives me PTSD even after 10 years. SPOILER ALERT! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . the girls are 'conditioned' to be able to hold guns and forget the killings. arguably thanks to this 'condition', they can live pretty well... kind of, because most, if not all, of the girls are victims of abuse, amputated/disabled/full-body paralyzed so in normal times they won't be able to do anything. by 'forgetting the trauma' and restructuring their bodies, they can move and have mundane hobbies. they look totally normal and cute, even. but in turn, they have to kill terrorists. seriously, the girls are the most innocent ones here. 'mastermind' behind the girls is not 1-2 person, and it's actually debatable if they can be called mastermind. (it's the government). one of the girls' higher ups blatantly said he did all of these to avenge his family (who were killed by terrorist bombing). and the antagonists, aka the terrorists, are normal humans who don't agree with their government's way. really, it's very hard to tell who is right, who is wrong here. i totally recommend the manga, because anime only reached till vol. 4/5 (15 vol in total)
