Howard improved drastically after he got with Bernadette. Before Bernadette, he treated women like objects and was creepy and rapey. Penny had every right to call him out on the way he treated her because he had no right to harass her. I love this show to death but it pisses me off that Penny had to apologize to Howard for standing up for herself.
If anything, she just needed to apologise for saying "You're gonna grow old and die alone." Other than that, he had it coming.
03:20 Penny's "death glare" at Howard seemed to say: "And if it ever happens again, the bathtub will make you ride on a wheelchair for the rest of your miserable life".
Well he didn't he still stares at women after he sees them at the gym with Penny 😂
I'm sick of these dumb reddit takes. Howard was way more entertaining before.
Two things
1. This is a horrible profile picture.
2. People are being too hard on Howard. He grew up without a father so he had no male role models. He also had no experience with women and needed to learn. Sometimes that means being a creep. People need to be more forgiving of people like him.

I dont think Penny did anything wrong. Howard was a creep who hit on her too much and made her uncomfortable, so she created boundaries. The guys were worng for saying she was too hard on him. Then, when she started to see him as a real person, he tried to kiss her. The punch was knee-jerk reaction. Penny's tough. She wanted to teach him a lesson and he learned it. It worked.
I think all of us can agree that Penny certainly isn’t in the wrong for her reaction - granted her telling him off comes from a place of deep frustration and annoyance in that moment and we all know Penny’s the type to lash out when her temper is flaring and she’s feeling very emotional overwhelmed. It happens to a lot of people and you can end up saying things that can come out really nasty no matter how true, and she probably would have verbally barbecued him either way without being so fed up.
But I can’t really give the boys crap for their reaction either - it’s all a matter of perspective, you know?
You can’t forget that they’ve known Howard and have been friends with him longer than Penny so they know a lot more about him than she does - that includes why he acts like this along with how he is when he’s not hitting on girls or thinking of sex. Basically, they know him and they also know what it’s like to get ripped into like that where it makes you feel so small - even when it’s deserved - so it’s not so crazy for them to feel protective of Howard and want peace in their friend group cuz Penny’s their friend too.
And yes before some “genius” says it - I know it’s a sitcom blah blah blah but even as a sitcom there’s supposed to be some realism in it.
@@withjust-a-bite1396 But, but....sitcom. jk jk. Agree with you on both accounts, Penny was not in the wrong, while his friends just take Howard as he is. Howard was def in the wrong and crossed Penny's boundaries, he had it coming. I prefer Howard later on the the Series when he was with Bernandette and less creepy.
But of course it was much funnier to laugh at his foils and failures with women earlier on, merely bc we know it is a sitcom and we are not just witnessing sexual harassment.
