    Any time you are going to the upper peninsula of Michigan, always bring clothes for 100 degrees and 25 degrees in the same 24 hour period.

    The truck heard you saying it was too big so it broke down to protest.

    Really enjoying this series! I’ve been looking at the Isuzu NPR crew cab with 4x4 conversion, but this could be a decent substitute as well. I like the fact that the Kodiak comes with 4x4 and has easily accessible American parts.

      Love the rig! Remember what carrier you used and the approximate cost to go from OK to AZ? I’m shopping for one out of state!

      @w8lifter21 I used the app Uship. Was about $2k for 1k miles.

    So I have one of these put a swaybar on it put a steering stabiliser on it. Put airbags on the front, put a fass fuel system on it. Put the banks, large oil cooler & the ARB 5 gal air compressor and tank Then go see America

    So did the DEF tell motor; limp mode baby?

    • @JensenAdventuresaz
      @JensenAdventuresaz  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Major wiring issues actually. Replaced the entire engine harness

      @JensenAdventuresaz kindly discuss the well known elephant in the room; DEF sensors disable motor.

    I love that truck, did you find that it was not the lift and tire size, they need air suspension! Your basically driving a big rig!

    • @JensenAdventuresaz
      @JensenAdventuresaz  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The weight of the camper helps to settle it down a bit but yes it needs air ride!

    Since the truck was towed the trans cluches got burned and engine doesn't run smoothly it will cost more than what you payed for it

      Driveshaft was disconnected when it was towed.

    How much did you pay for this truck

    • @JensenAdventuresaz
      @JensenAdventuresaz  ปีที่แล้ว

      We paid $40k. That's about what a 4x4 diesel 4 door Kodiak will go for. Anywhere from $35-$55k. I will say we overpaid given everything that needed done but that's the risk buying anything used. We are very happy with where the truck is now.

      @@JensenAdventuresaz I just looked at one like yours with a similar lift in California. He’s asking $68,000. I think that’s high considering it needs a lot of little things Tidied up around the truck. There’s lots of loose wires hanging from all the aftermarket wiring and lights they put on. It has a vinyl wrap that’s not that good looking on it whoever did it didn’t do the best job. And if I were to get the truck I wouldn’t be able to tow a fifth wheel trailer because the bed of the truck is way too high off the ground. So I have to lower it like you did in your video which is a ton of work and I have to get smaller tires and rims for it. The good news about the truck is I’m able to get it registered in California and pass all the California air resources board inspections which is a problem when you buy these trucks in California most of them were banned out of the state. The guy told me that because it had a Monroe bed from the factory that’s how he was able to get it registered in the state. If it had a flatbed like yours would be considered another type of vehicle and not eligible for registration in California. The whole thing doesn’t make any sense.

      @@JensenAdventuresaz how much did you put into it?

    • @JensenAdventuresaz
      @JensenAdventuresaz  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GrowingUpGarden yes it sounds like the truck is overpriced. Probably because he knows it’s rare to be able to get one registered in CA. I’m from there I know how the crazy laws can be. If you have any questions about the trucks let me know I have learned a lot about them in the last year rebuilding ours! They are awesome trucks when everything is sorted out!

      @@GrowingUpGarden we have put about $20k into it. But we had to rebuild our transmission which was $8500. And I’ve done some upgrades and modifications that others would not have to do.
