This man has taken me from some very dark places mentally and showed me the way many times during my life. If I were blessed enough to meet him I would say thank you sir. He has left such a rich tapestry of work to dip into. Stay strong my friend.
This was such a fabulous series......billy on his usual form....the music......the laughs.....the factuals......the people and characters.....the tales.......the scenery.........ill go as far as saying a bit of a masterpiece.
Scotland is a great place, I’m northern English so not far away but have an emotional maybe spiritual connection with Scotland, always have. Can’t really explain why or how. Whenever I visit there I just glow.
Ahh Billy Connolly. He's a great Scottish legend person. I love Scotland. It reminds me of my home country Ireland because it has the same Irish background music and they also speak in Scottish Gaelic, and Billy Connolly has Irish background. I love Ireland and Scotland. 🇮🇪 🏴
I would love if this got a Blu Ray release. I watched it obsessively when it was on video when I was a kid. It’s so good and it brings back lots of memories.
I don't know if you still look at this stuff . But , I am Irish and Scottish . My maiden name is Smith but my mother's maiden is McLaughlin . She raised us 6 kids by herself thank you Lord . Strong she was for sure but my grand parents helped a lot . Wonderful Irish people . Which I adored . But watching all your videos ,since my husband past ,caused I don't go much anywhere but truly love watching comedy . There's to much sadness in this world and I refuse to be part of it . But I will never get the chance to see where my DNA is from and so when I found you I saw these videos of Ireland and Scotland and fell in love with them thank you soooo very much for making my dream come true of bringing my homeland come to me . God bless you . And thank you for making me laugh out loud. And you truly make a bright light in this world . Thank you keep us smiling . I applaud you sir .
First time ever seeing and my oh my, speaks the truth. It took myself and my family years to integrate into a community far North, but once you're "in" there's truly a character that I think you only find from people who spend their lives in such places (i like to count myself among them).
A love watching the BIG YIn ma fellow Scot ever time a watch Billy am in stitches way laughing at him a laugh so much ma watching him ma jaws killing me coz ur the number one legend Big Yin 🏴☘️🏴☘️
I'm thinking fish weren't the only thing to come up that stairway...that looks like a smuggler's cove. I'm not disapproving, mind you, what the Revenuers don't know won't hurt them.
That's not the NE Scotland. It is the East of the North of Scotland. The North East is Aberdeenshire. By the way, Big Yin, we miss you and your comedy tours down here in Newcastle.
What utterly miserable people you are. You seem positively to relish the prospect of doing your country down at every opportunity. Hang your heads in shame. PS, I'm not in the SNP.

Ahh Billy, this was one of my favourite shows. We love you Bill. Stay strong.

If this was on Netflix I’d watch it time and time again. His best work. Makes me want to go to Scotland.
It will never be on Netflix. If you want to go to Scotland, go. I heartily recommend it.

This is a tremendous series. I remember watching it at the time. I've watched it many times since. Good posting.

back when life was fun and care free for a little while
It always is - It just depends on where one puts their attention.
It still can be. The scottish countryside is always there, you need to keep positive and make your own fun 👍
@@cantthinkofausername8698 The perfect answer.

It 's available on DVD in the UK on Amazon.
Extremely wind swept and interesting.

I still watch this…two of my favourite things about my country. It’s beauty and Billy
Is billy reading these comments, I do hope so, like to remind him how much we appreciate him.
Of course he isn't Do you think he has time to waste on TH-cam.
His finest work and an absolute gem of a series. Well in Big Yin x

If you mean does Billy read the messages, of course he doesn't. A lot of the histrionic stuff would scare him to death.
I loved the music on this series. I had a cassette used to play it all the time in car. Those were the days. 😄👍
i once lived near there, over the cliffs was a heap of old cars that had been pushed over the edge .cars from the 50s-60s

Such a shame such a great place has been ruined, poss forever, by the SNPish
Yip massive, massive shame the whole country. Fucked.
Things will change when their brainwashed cult followers finally think for themselves, could be a while though.
@@ID-pw8zb optimism in the extreme I fear! SNPish followers lack any form of brain, far less a washed one!!!
