True. I had a similar issue with my Vivo x60. Initially, I was quoted 9k with no inspection. After a mail to Customercare that explained how the line suddenly appeared after a software update, Vivo gave me a free screen replacement. The phone was inspected for damage, and I am glad that I kept it in pristine condition.
I had oneplus 8 pro, and I got around 7-8 lines on display after the android 13 update. The service center replaced the display for free. But, after 5 months, one greenline appeared on the display again. This time service center changed the display again, and after changing, I sold my device for 23k, and bought motorola g73. So my suggestion is, if your phone got greenline issues, don't change the display by paying money(because there are high chances that greenline will appear again), and if you get free replacement, sell the device as soon as possible(and buy a cheaper phone with IPS display).
After downloading the Miui update, my phone's front camera went off, and after a few days, my phone went dead. Later, I came to know that the warranty of the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is 2 years. I showed my phone to the Xiaomi service centre, and when they replied that the phone was dead, they would only provide a warranty for the front camera problem. The fault is in the CPU of my phone.This is 100% due to the software update provided by the company. Other customers using this phone model are facing similar issues.

I had the same problem in my X70 pro. I have logged the complaint immediately to Vivo centre Borivali (Mumbai). They have told me that they have not received any such issues regarding my model. After 2 months I have again visited the Vivo service center. They have replaced the screen without any questions even though there were some dents on the phone. Great work by Vivo.
Man, I have been telling the same thing and I had commented about the same on another channel when my OP 8 pro and my friend's Samsung S20 Plus had green lines around the same time (almost two years after the purchase, after updating it to Android 12). I firmly believe that Samsung screwed their first set of 2k amoled 120hz displays. In S20 Plus, they had restricted the 120hz to only 1080 resolution and when you bumped it to 2k, the refresh rate would drop to 60hz. This implies that they were not confident about their displays and processing power. And OP 8 pro didn't have this restriction, I think this was one of the reasons for green lines in OP 8 series.
My OnePlus 9 Pro had recently got this issue. I simply went to service centre, and they examined the device. My device had a scratch on front and some minor dents here and there. But they agreed for the replacement and gave me the device back with a changed display and frame after 5 days.
I was victim of this with my 2 year old Vivo X60. Green line started appearing after software update. Good thing was I use my phone very carefully. There were literally zero dents or scratches on the phone. Also me being a tech enthusiast, I could convince the same to Vivo service center that it's not my fault and at the end I got the display replaced free of cost without much hassle and effort. After the replacement I exchanged X60 with Vivo X90 as I got good exchange value and bank offers.

My strong intuition is because of something related with the 120 hz refresh rate & the 360 touch sampling rate triggered after an software update! Most brands are sticking now with the 240hz TSR that's a wise idea!

Its been more than 60 days since the green line issue started on my Motorola Moto G52. What started with 1 green line is now 15 green lines. It happened 4 days after installing July 2023 security patch update. Device is out of warranty but has no physical / liquid damage. Even many service centers are still rejecting free display replacement and charging exorbitant amount of money for green line affected devices. Waiting for an official statement from Motorola company. Motorola not offering any solution, update fix or exchange offers for customers. Expecting help ASAP from Motorola.
I got green and pink line on my OnePlus 8t 3 months after updating to Android 13. OnePlus replaced the display free of cost. One thing i noticed was that my phone was getting a bit warm on day to day usage for few days and all of a sudden one day the lines started appearing.

You can directly walk into the service centre to get your phone checked. They will ask for a bill copy to ensure the phone is yours if you don't have it then you can share a copy of Aadhar.

In oneplus this is happening on almost all models. Lot of people on Twitter posted about this issue on oneplus 8t, 9, 9r, 9 pro and now even on 11r and cheaper nord series. Oneplus has 2 conditions in which it will repair display free of cost: phone shouldn't be more than 2 yrs old and no physical damage on screen or on back panel
Honest TH-camrs like you should get together and raise your voice against brands and be the torch bearers for the consumers. how much can we consumers fight, argue or even justify with service centre's. now adays brands are just trying to rip off people and there is no humanity left, straight rejection and implying that the consumers are always at fault is one bad attitude specially in India. please keep exposing brands and help us have a better experience and buying a product without fear. i am planning to buy Nothing phone 2 and already pre booked it via Flipkart, with all such issues, i am bit concerned if the phone will come up with display or motherboard issues, even though its premium, so is Asus, but you know what happened with the ROG 5 and 6 series, Xiomi, Poco, Realmi Redmi whatever, etc etc related to motherboard problems after software update. It's very easier to say than to implement. As a creator, I will always try to do whatever is the best for the audience. Sadly it has to go both ways. I've seen the brand side of things as well and so many people, a lot of customers make fake or false claims, sometimes for mere 400-500rs. Sadly it's not an idealistic world, so what can just do the best we can in our capacity

Completely wrong. I'm using OnePlus 7pro ( OS version 11 )( purchased in 2019 - August. ) And suddenly out of nowhere got this Green Line issue ( not done / received any Software update. Neither any liquid / fall damage. Never played any games on my mobile infact never installed any ) contacted OnePlus customer support and they said visit service center and the service center guys said we can't do anything if you want to repair or replace the display I have to pay 20k that too they don't know how much time it'll take to get a new display ( it may took 1 month or maybe more then a 3 months ). Immediately contacted OnePlus customer support and explain the situation and after that they simply said we can't do anything. Even I asked them that if you can't do anything atleast provide some decent exchange value on my OP 7pro I'll purchase new OnePlus 11. And finally they said the service / exchange thing is not available in my area / wherever I lives even if the service available they can't provide such exchange values. .. So please don't misleading people / your viewers by saying it's only comes for 2020 or after 2020 manufacturing display units do some research before making a video. Thank you..
You should watch the full video properly first. I’m talking about the wide spread green line issue which is affects certain multiple devices. Yours is probably a one off or an edge case. OP 7 pro does not have a widespread green line issue
Bhai it also happening with Oneplus 11R!!! We never know which company is using 2023 panels n which are using old panels for cost cutting!!! Samsung should comeup with a clear cut reply about this issue. After all this,LCD displays is laughing in the corner n saying old is still Gold 😂
My 2 Samsung phones with amoled screen broke & dead from just 2/3ft height fall.but my cheap Samsung m02s with LCD screen doesn't break even after fall many time from good height.it seems lcd is more durable than amoled.

At that time Moto was given 4K video recording and 1080p 60 fps as well!!! Its metal build still looks premium too!!! I literally had this problem yesterday with my Samsung M52 after the update (which is why I searched for videos on this ) . I went to the service center today and they said they'll replace my screen as it was still under warranty . They took a long time to inspect it though making sure there is no scratches or any kind of water damage. I asked them multiple times the reason for this issue but they seemed to avoid the question altogether and just assured me that my phone will be repaired . Overall , I had an okay-ish experience but let's see if the phone works properly after the repair . edit: they said it'll take about 10 to 12 days to repair which is a long time for a screen replacement.
I had the same problem in my Motorola G52 within 5 months of purchasing, problem resolved after submitting the phone for more than 15 days in the service centre. After 14 months again the same problem reoccurred. Let's see what they say this time as the phone is out of warranty period.

And another thing to wonder is why did these bad batches of displays were imported only to India? I haven't seen a single complaint of the green line issue from outside of India so far. Pretty sure these were dumped into the Indian smartphone market.
I'm from Taiwan, I bought my vivo x60pro here but after recharging my phone and turn it on...walla, green line appeared. Now I'm in Canada, the single green line becomes 2 and two days after the third line appears. I'm going home next week I don't know what will happen next. I'll try a rugged phone next time. Never heard an issue about rugged phones

As a person who repairs these kinds of green lines display the first explaination is totally accurate due to some reasons during the software updates the pins of flex cable gets detached from the lcd pins( there are approx 110pins which need to be properly soldered to lcd pins... The place where the pin gets disconnected appears a green/pink line. I have repaired almost 100+ samsung/ oneplus phones with these green lines.( Not promoting myself here just wanted to share some knowledge)
My Galaxy Note 4/5/8 got green lines despites being incredibly old (>2020), 4 & 5 are retired but the 8 still have the issue in use unfortunately. They were taken extreme care of and never dropped once. I suspect it's from overheating due to software updates (OTA mostly). Decided to not purchase AMOLED phones again unless forced to. Everyone needs to raise this matter to consumer grievance for quality control/replacement policy for devices priced absurdly in India.
Even oppo and oneplus are providing free replacement if the phone isnt damaged from outside. Samsung is quite stubborn they dont respond to emails or tweets. Have to manually escalate over call or whatsapp chat support.

Same problem happened to my Oppo Reno5 pro, first green line on centre of the screen, this happened after updating to Android 13 and few days later another line on right of the screen. I visited the Oppo service centre and explained the problem and today I got the phone with replacement screen free of cost..I am happy
I have oppo find x2 after the June security update suddenly green lines appear I went oppo service center they told me u have to pay ₹18,500 display replacement for out of warranty but my mobile condition good no dents or scratch.
I got free display replacement from OnePlus Service centre at Gurugram within an hour for my 8T. I also had got that green line issue. I exchanged the phone on the very next day for s23+😁.
Same with me, my OP 8T got a green line after a software update and OnePlus won't replace it even if I pay, telling me that there's a screen shortage issue. However, they still sell those screens on their official website.
I have been watching your videos for quite a while now, and I loved all of them. Though I have been recently looking for an overall good phone, under 35k with atleast 256gb storage option. Unfortunately, every phone I have looked for has some or the other shortcomings. Moto edge 40 has a battery drain and heating issue and realme 11 pro plus is quite overpriced it seems. Do you have any recommendations?

Same issue with my realme x7 pro, phone was 2.6 years old and even after not updating the phone for almost 6 months i got the green line issue but the service center guys were helpful they told me that if customer care tell us to the repair in free then only we can do that. I talked to the customer care for almost 3 hours, be stubborn they'll try to get out of the situation but put pressure, talk to the senior guys and demand that the phone should be repaired for free. Within 3 days i got call from service center that the request is approved and the device will be repaired for free. Fight, get angry and be stubborn. But only if there is no physical damage.

Service of Poco is just awful.I have been using poco f4 and One day when I woke up in the morning and there was that green line,Just like that.I knew about that issue but I had some work in my hometown and it was a single line so I wasn't having any issue using it but I knew it would spread. And after some days that's what happened. I went to service centre and they just blamed it upon me saying that it's a physical damage and it won't be covered in the warranty. And another important thing is that my display didn't have any physical damage, it wasn't coming out at all. I was using it so I know verywell But when that employee checked the phone the display came out! I don't have any valid proof to show but I am damn sure that he pressed the front or sides may be cuz the screen was totally fixed and when he checked it for some time then it came out! And he blamed that upon me too that it was having physical damage! It's just pathetic. I don't have any trust upon poco and xiaomi anymore. And yes he also denied me directly saying that we don't have any green line issues in our phones it's just in the OnePlus phones.Totally pathetic service. Atleast oneplus is honest and providing it's customers the replacement. From now on I will neither buy nor recommend any poco or xiaomi products to anyone.
Bro this green lines comes in my op6 when i open camera app and after that my camera stopped working after camera app blacked out completely every application that uses camera stops working and if i restart my phone then camera work for 2-3 min and after that again it stops .i tried everything like factory reset down grade upgrade .i used gcam app with multiple xml files may be that could be the reason

I have a Vivo X60. In march 2023 I suddenly got a pink line on my phone while charging. I was shocked. I reached to vivo authorised service centre , they checked my phone and told me that my device had moisture on the lower side and denied the free replacement. I was told that I have to pay 9250 rs to continue the replacement. I never drop my phone into water. They just fooled me and my phone was out of warrenty. The line increased over the period of time and now total 15 lines are there. Shame to vivo who sell ths phone at the price of 35k and still charging 9k for the display change within 2 years of use. Overall worst experience .

Can't, we uninstall the recent updates? Due to which this issue is happening... Companies should give us this feature to uninstall the last updates. Or Companies should keep a testing phone before they release the update, They need to check that in the testing phone first and then they should release the update officially for all.

Easy way to avoid cs guy problem, you should make video of whole updating process from another phone. Make video that you are currently using android 11 and now u r updating to 12. After update , if green line appears you can show them full video that this arises only after update. In this case, if u have any dent on ur phone or not , there are high chances that ur display will be replaced free of cost.
Me to facing the same issue on my Nothing Phone 1 after updating to 1.5.5 Green 💚 line wala issue. Went today on Authorised Service Centre and the denied to give me the replacement as they find a scratch on my phone and named it as a dent. Im so upset
Recently I have to buy pixel 6a because my samsung galaxy A71 fell from my hand after using 1 year and nothing happens..but after 1 day of the incident suddently a sky blue line appeared on my screen and every day line number was increasing....and after using that phone 1 month with blue lines the phone's screen suddenly went black and nothing is visible....I can hear sound from it but screen is full black...Really sad that this renown brand using low quality screens..

I also had a similar issue in vivo x60 pro after 28 Months of use but they change the display free of cost and they said display is 12500 rupees but for you it's free of cost also they gave me 3 months of warranty.

My friend has took xiaomi pad 6 after 10 days he is facing pink colour in display at fown side of tab.he vontacted mi service centre and they we will take time to receive the display after that that we will replace the display he kept the tab for ten days but didn't receive display now yesterday he took tab and said them that once display received he will give the tab.so don't know whether this issue resolves or not

There were literally zero dents or scratches on the phone. Also me being a tech enthusiast, I could convince the same to Vivo service center that it's not my fault and at the end I got the display replaced free of cost without much hassle and effort. After the replacement I exchanged X60 with Vivo X90 as I got good exchange value and bank offers.

My strong intuition is because of something related with the 120 hz refresh rate & the 360 touch sampling rate triggered after an software update! Most brands are sticking now with the 240hz TSR that's a wise idea!

Its been more than 60 days since the green line issue started on my Motorola Moto G52. What started with 1 green line is now 15 green lines. It happened 4 days after installing July 2023 security patch update. Device is out of warranty but has no physical / liquid damage. Even many service centers are still rejecting free display replacement and charging exorbitant amount of money for green line affected devices. Waiting for an official statement from Motorola company. Motorola not offering any solution, update fix or exchange offers for customers. Expecting help ASAP from Motorola.
I got green and pink line on my OnePlus 8t 3 months after updating to Android 13. OnePlus replaced the display free of cost. One thing i noticed was that my phone was getting a bit warm on day to day usage for few days and all of a sudden one day the lines started appearing.

You can directly walk into the service centre to get your phone checked. They will ask for a bill copy to ensure the phone is yours if you don't have it then you can share a copy of Aadhar.

In oneplus this is happening on almost all models. Lot of people on Twitter posted about this issue on oneplus 8t, 9, 9r, 9 pro and now even on 11r and cheaper nord series. Oneplus has 2 conditions in which it will repair display free of cost: phone shouldn't be more than 2 yrs old and no physical damage on screen or on back panel
9 pro series didn't have. 8t 9 9r all uses diamond pixel which have issues

It's very easier to say than to implement. As a creator, I will always try to do whatever is the best for the audience. Sadly it has to go both ways. I've seen the brand side of things as well and so many people, a lot of customers make fake or false claims, sometimes for mere 400-500rs. Completely wrong. I'm using OnePlus 7pro ( OS version 11 )( purchased in 2019 - August. ) And suddenly out of nowhere got this Green Line issue ( not done / received any Software update. Neither any liquid / fall damage. Never played any games on my mobile infact never installed any ) contacted OnePlus customer support and they said visit service center and the service center guys said we can't do anything if you want to repair or replace the display I have to pay 20k that too they don't know how much time it'll take to get a new display ( it may took 1 month or maybe more then a 3 months ). Immediately contacted OnePlus customer support and explain the situation and after that they simply said we can't do anything. Even I asked them that if you can't do anything atleast provide some decent exchange value on my OP 7pro I'll purchase new OnePlus 11. And finally they said the service / exchange thing is not available in my area / wherever I lives even if the service available they can't provide such exchange values. .. So please don't misleading people / your viewers by saying it's only comes for 2020 or after 2020 manufacturing display units do some research before making a video. Thank you..
You should watch the full video properly first. I’m talking about the wide spread green line issue which is affects certain multiple devices. Yours is probably a one off or an edge case. OP 7 pro does not have a widespread green line issue

I literally had this problem yesterday with my Samsung M52 after the update (which is why I searched for videos on this ) . I went to the service center today and they said they'll replace my screen as it was still under warranty . They took a long time to inspect it though making sure there is no scratches or any kind of water damage. I asked them multiple times the reason for this issue but they seemed to avoid the question altogether and just assured me that my phone will be repaired . Overall , I had an okay-ish experience but let's see if the phone works properly after the repair .
edit: they said it'll take about 10 to 12 days to repair which is a long time for a screen replacement.
I had the same problem in my Motorola G52 within 5 months of purchasing, problem resolved after submitting the phone for more than 15 days in the service centre. After 14 months again the same problem reoccurred. Let's see what they say this time as the phone is out of warranty period.

As a person who repairs these kinds of green lines display the first explaination is totally accurate due to some reasons during the software updates the pins of flex cable gets detached from the lcd pins( there are approx 110pins which need to be properly soldered to lcd pins... The place where the pin gets disconnected appears a green/pink line. I have repaired almost 100+ samsung/ oneplus phones with these green lines.( Not promoting myself here just wanted to share some knowledge)

My Galaxy Note 4/5/8 got green lines despites being incredibly old (>2020), 4 & 5 are retired but the 8 still have the issue in use unfortunately. They were taken extreme care of and never dropped once. I suspect it's from overheating due to software updates (OTA mostly). Decided to not purchase AMOLED phones again unless forced to. Everyone needs to raise this matter to consumer grievance for quality control/replacement policy for devices priced absurdly in India.
Even oppo and oneplus are providing free replacement if the phone isnt damaged from outside. Samsung is quite stubborn they dont respond to emails or tweets. Have to manually escalate over call or whatsapp chat support.

Same problem happened to my Oppo Reno5 pro, first green line on centre of the screen, this happened after updating to Android 13 and few days later another line on right of the screen. I visited the Oppo service centre and explained the problem and today I got the phone with replacement screen free of cost..I am happy

Same issue with my realme x7 pro, phone was 2.6 years old and even after not updating the phone for almost 6 months i got the green line issue but the service center guys were helpful they told me that if customer care tell us to the repair in free then only we can do that. I talked to the customer care for almost 3 hours, be stubborn they'll try to get out of the situation but put pressure, talk to the senior guys and demand that the phone should be repaired for free. Within 3 days i got call from service center that the request is approved and the device will be repaired for free.
Fight, get angry and be stubborn. But only if there is no physical damage.

Service of Poco is just awful.I have been using poco f4 and One day when I woke up in the morning and there was that green line,Just like that.I knew about that issue but I had some work in my hometown and it was a single line so I wasn't having any issue using it but I knew it would spread. And after some days that's what happened. I went to service centre and they just blamed it upon me saying that it's a physical damage and it won't be covered in the warranty. And another important thing is that my display didn't have any physical damage, it wasn't coming out at all. I was using it so I know verywell But when that employee checked the phone the display came out! I don't have any valid proof to show but I am damn sure that he pressed the front or sides may be cuz the screen was totally fixed and when he checked it for some time then it came out! And he blamed that upon me too that it was having physical damage! It's just pathetic. I don't have any trust upon poco and xiaomi anymore. And yes he also denied me directly saying that we don't have any green line issues in our phones it's just in the OnePlus phones.Totally pathetic service. Atleast oneplus is honest and providing it's customers the replacement. From now on I will neither buy nor recommend any poco or xiaomi products to anyone.
Bro this green lines comes in my op6 when i open camera app and after that my camera stopped working after camera app blacked out completely every application that uses camera stops working and if i restart my phone then camera work for 2-3 min and after that again it stops .i tried everything like factory reset down grade upgrade .i used gcam app with multiple xml files may be that could be the reason

I have a Vivo X60. In march 2023 I suddenly got a pink line on my phone while charging. I was shocked. I reached to vivo authorised service centre , they checked my phone and told me that my device had moisture on the lower side and denied the free replacement. I was told that I have to pay 9250 rs to continue the replacement. I never drop my phone into water. They just fooled me and my phone was out of warrenty. The line increased over the period of time and now total 15 lines are there. Shame to vivo who sell ths phone at the price of 35k and still charging 9k for the display change within 2 years of use. Overall worst experience .

Easy way to avoid cs guy problem, you should make video of whole updating process from another phone. Make video that you are currently using android 11 and now u r updating to 12. After update , if green line appears you can show them full video that this arises only after update. In this case, if u have any dent on ur phone or not , there are high chances that ur display will be replaced free of cost.

Mere realme gt neo 3t mai bhi a13 k update k baad ye issue halka halka issue aane laga tha fir a12 par rollback kiya 1 month se upar ho gya h abhi tak no issue isliye update hi nhi karta hu ab 🙂

please reply.....bhai maine second hand market se Samsung S20+ 5G liya tha USA model 20K ka...phone already updated tha Android 13 pr....us time phone mein koi issue nahi tha ...but May 2023 ka security patch aaya aur usko update kiya phir 2-3 din baad Green line aa gya....kya karun ab...kya samsung replace krega kyunki device out of india ka hai...

Sir my phone is iqoo 9se i have recently updated it to Android 13 but in 3-4 day after update i got green line & now service centre want money from me to replace it coz i phone just ran out of warranty 3 months ago
Mere pas OnePlus 8T hai mujhe pahle ek green line ka issue huwa fir maine display change karaya uske bad 6 months bad fir se green line agai ab kya kroo har bar display change thodi Kara sakte hai
