Carol Decker still has it. The 80's!! I was in my 20's during the 80's w/MTV and dance clubs every Friday and Saturday nights. Driving my new T-Top IROC and my Honda 1000 Hurricane was it. Best decade ever!! The best economy ever w/everyone working making big bucks! Me?? I was a Union Pipe Welder making big $$, and owned a summer home at the beach at 25 yrs old. during the 80's. If we could just go back for one month. The 80's!! Thank you Carol Decker and T'Pau!!
I'm so impressed, I loved this song as a kid bc of the over dubbing of her vocals, but to hear it live at 42 and her being older.. Just beautiful.. She looks like she'd be fun in concert
I heard this song in Staples the other day for the first time in maybe 30 years. It stopped me dead in my tracks and I basically blacked out...except everything was neon and I was transported to 1989 for a few sweet seconds. Song is such a banger!
I absolutely loved this song when I was 16 years old in 1987! I grew up in Hialeah Miami Florida area and loved the 80's style as a teenager! We will prevail and come out head of this Coronavirus all my friends of music!! Love T'Pau!!
The original recording from the LP is briliant! But MAN! she still can sing this song live. Great performance. T'Pau was one of the first LPs I ever bought. And I still think its a great album. Thanks for sharing the video!
They released a few songs like this one back in 1987.It holds life changing memories for me at 21 when i was forced out of my hometown.I got my first proper job and the speakers were playing Tpau songs from the radio. The strains of these songs stay with me.
Just stumbled on this. F@cking magic! She sang the hell out of this stellar number. Well nigh pitch perfect, live. With a really intense song. I loved her then, I love her now!
Probably my favorite vocalist from the 80s...while others were loving Pat Benatar or Belinda Carlisle...or Grace Slick...I'm a fan of all of them, but Carol is my favorite! I can't believe she is still going just as strong as she did in the 80s...and in the same key!!!
The others you mentioned are legends now, with many hits under their belts. I'm not sure about Carol. Not a lot of people know who she is around the world.
So much leather under one tent. My girlfriend at the time turned me on to this. We had many a hot night due to this song. Great memories. Fall 1987. Great memories.
Love this track. It was the first one out back in the day that introduced the band to the charts that I heard. Made a big impression on me, it wasn't your "run of the mill" songs out at the time. Carol Decker will always have that amazing voice to pull this track off...she's a trooper!.
this song caused me to meet my wife back in the 80's at a teen nightclub called spanky's if we both didn't love this song and bumping into each other on the dancefloor we would have never met
I just watched the original video and this whole time I thought it was two different people singing it but it was just her with two different hairstyles lol
This song brings back great childhood memories from the Summer of 1987, I was 10. As much as I love the New Wavish (because of the lush synthesizers) studio version, this live version was great!
Agree but thought it really cool how she just flew into it with a fresh style that felt natural, almost like she didn't even plan it.it was just meant to be. Sounded great too.
The whole freaking band is GREAT!! Still love this song so much!

Carol is the perfect front woman, she's got a shit ton of charisma, she knows how to work a crowd and she's got an awesome set of pipes!!!
Love how she sneaks in the sound check and gets the audience involved. She knows what she is doing.
I didn't think of that. Good observation

In 1987, my fifteen year old self had such a crush on Carol Decker. Even in her early sixties, Carol still looks gorgeous.
I absolutely loved this song when I was 16 years old in 1987! I grew up in Hialeah Miami Florida area and loved the 80's style as a teenager! We will prevail and come out head of this Coronavirus all my friends of music!! Love T'Pau!!
The 80s were the best, honor to of grew up during that era
Saw your comment, had to ask Hialeah High, or HML?
OMG, what a voice! She still kept a very good voice level even after 27 years at the time.
Awesome to see she can still hit the high notes. Great song
Carol Decker still rocks after 25 years. Still young at heart, fresh and a strong rocker at 2013! 🤘🤘🤘
The original recording from the LP is briliant! But MAN! she still can sing this song live. Great performance. T'Pau was one of the first LPs I ever bought. And I still think its a great album. Thanks for sharing the video!
This song has a great bass line.. So funky!!!
The bass player is outstanding.

Wow she nailed the chorus . She is excellent what a voice!
Agreed! I want to hear more from her
Went to see her at Southend last month... Her voice is amazing and she's definitely still got it!!
The passing decades have been very kind to he, for which I am happy. Bridge of Spies remains one of my top 100 albums to this day.
Just really great. Let`s go back to the 80`s.
Solid performance. She still has it.
She sounds incredible!
Fantastic!!! Heard this song in the grocery store today in MN and brought me all the way to you in 2021.
Yes ! her voice is as soulful as the record. this song has been one of my favourite ever.
just love her voice, so powerful :)
T'Pau has to be one of the best bands ever. The world could learn a great lesson from this one song.
Nice to watch a performance done well by someone who no longer has anything to prove. Observation. The bass player is excellent.
Totally agree, the bass player nailed it
What a charismatic performance! 👏
Just stumbled on this. F@cking magic! She sang the hell out of this stellar number. Well nigh pitch perfect, live. With a really intense song. I loved her then, I love her now!
The dude playing the SG couldn't have been born when this was released! That makes me feel old!
But the dude with the Fender Strat...sure he was there. For Sure.

Brings a tear of joy to me whenever I hear this. A work of brilliance, and now I saw it played live. Thanks for posting, this is an awesome song!
their best song, the ending part should be longer though :)
I’m a headbanger but always liked this song and thought the singer has a great voice
i’m speechless (This sounds flawless) super impressive
So much leather under one tent. My girlfriend at the time turned me on to this. We had many a hot night due to this song. Great memories. Fall 1987. Great memories.

Carol Decker today we know that she is a huge player in POP and Rock music. She is great ...
Love this track. It was the first one out back in the day that introduced the band to the charts that I heard. Made a big impression on me, it wasn't your "run of the mill" songs out at the time. Carol Decker will always have that amazing voice to pull this track off...she's a trooper!.
Brilliant
this song caused me to meet my wife back in the 80's at a teen nightclub called spanky's if we both didn't love this song and bumping into each other on the dancefloor we would have never met

This song brings back great childhood memories from the Summer of 1987, I was 10.
As much as I love the New Wavish (because of the lush synthesizers) studio version, this live version was great!
Modern singers need to watch her and how it’s done
Alright alright alright front woman keeping that vocal strong
Awesome!
Impressive.
Yeahhh!
Always loved me for myself.
GTA brought me here. I might just stay, I love the sound.
I remember this song from 1987.
Her and Gary Numan still got it..
A very classy lady. Rocks!
Luvit
Good old Carol
😳❤️
Well damn 👏👏👏
Still have lady 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
the higher sung parts are awesome but i miss the breathy delivery of the recording for the spoken parts.
Agreed. The spoken parts originally sounded more like chanting, now sounds more like rap. If that isn't a step down, I don't know what is!
@@Jondjond total agree, I hated the spoken part but she sure still delivers on the rest!
Agree but thought it really cool how she just flew into it with a fresh style that felt natural, almost like she didn't even plan it.it was just meant to be.
Sounded great too.
Love
Very few female performers in 2019; wish they have this type of longevity after 50yrs old. Haha
