Little Leaf Farms Avoids Using Toxics

Little Leaf Farms in Devens, Mass. opted to purchase a high-pressure washer to remove algae from the gutters where the lettuce grows rather than using harsh chemicals. TURI helped Little Leaf confirm that the gutters were clean by enlisting the help of Assistant Professor Boce Zhang in the UMass Lowell Food Safety Lab.

I tell everyone about Little Leaf! You rock the lettuce world! You are my main go to green in my diet! A Hannaford produce person was stocking your product when I bragged about your lettuce to her. She said she could no longer eat lettuce due to her dentures. I told her I have dentures and this is the only lettuce that I can eat! I am sure she has now joined the Little Leaf Family!
