@@Asternius he explained very poorly. Since he leaves 1/3 of his games he will always play in Plat, around the same elo. He only leaves all his TvPs so that his TvT wr stays high, cheesing other Terrans that hypothetically below his skill level. Basically smurfing.
I´ve seen players in league of legends do this. Intentionally loose games on certain champions to lower elo then they smurf on their main to essentially get 100% winrate on their main champ by never getting into high mmr

I can see that working in plat. People in plat will lose their reaper and then not scout at all and die to the BC flying into their base because they made nothing but tanks to counter the marines.
I got this rush where I proxy the factory instead, so that I bring a single tank and like 4 marines as early as it is mechanically possible... so the opponent freaks out and starts building tanks thinking its a tank push, and there you come in with your proxy BC at like minute 5...
I have seen people with blocked communication multiple times, the last one was met in PvP, playing 'till the end in a such manner that I felt his salt overflowing without a single word, he died to proxy robo. Then I had some interaction and if you, Kevin, think your interaction was weird then there is no such word for mine, I had actual manchild with heavy mental disorder, he tried his worst to get my address(we had some chat) and has been spamming invites like there's no tomorrow. Why would I interact with him? Welp. My curiosity was so big that I decided to check what the hell is this.
Great video, very funny! The winrates of this guy after several thousand games are quite insane. I don't think there are many players with such a different winrate.

I’ve played against this player before. He can sneak up the win against you every now and then. But once you know he always cheeses, you just need to play it safe and defend.

In a dedicated server environment like Starcraft ping can be seen as the time it takes for your command to reach the server(very simplified). So someone with a lower ping can act and react faster to anything that happens. 1000ms=1s btw. So Harstem was playing with about 0,3-0,4s delay.
@@Kekzmann that's true of asynchronous net code like what fps games often have, or with rollback networking like stormgate, but I'm not too sure how it would work in starcraft, which is essentially a fast realtime turn-based system. Maybe if it pools the slower side's actions while allowing the faster side's simulation to progress on its own fractional ticks?
See it for what it is. It is a solid build for low APM gold or platinum. Marine and BC are both easy to use and a 2 racks cheese is going to be more than enough to tie up most players at that elo long enough to get the BC rolling and upgrades on the way. Obviously not a pro build, but still better than you gave it credit for.
