- In the Age of Apocalypse, an alternate universe in the Marvel timeline, a number of characters were born as counterparts to their pre-existing versions from Marvel’s Prime Earth. Beast, the fourth member to join the X-Men, also now has an evil version of himself. Dark Beast is a genetic genius whose skills are unparalleled. He lives up to the word Dark in his name, for he is every mutant’s worst nightmare.
Forever inventing new torturous techniques to experiment on mutants, Dark Beast is a maniac for whom experimentation comes before humanity. Mentored by Mister Sinister himself, the cruelty of his experiments surpasses even that of his teacher. He is capable of making a mutant wish for their death in his own twisted way. So, without further ado, let us dive into the video and explore this gruesome character.

Wasn’t in the cartoon as well that beast animalistic side was coming out and his human side was gone but jubilee brought him back though
This terrible version got a job at Walmart when he was a teen, and it broke his mind.
The prime universe version went to live with the Xmen in a mansion with no expenses, and so was happy and cheerful.

Well, Sideshow Bob(Simpsons) was voiced by Kelsey Grammer, and he played Beast in "X-men: Last Stand".
Current 616 Beast isn't too far off from Dark Beast. Would be awesome if Dark Beast crossed over and paid him a visit.

Hank McCoy is one of my all-time favorite Marvel Comics characters because of his wisdom, humility, Renaissance Man warmth, and his crippling self-consciousness. Which makes it a tragic and aggravating shame that current Marvel creators are determined to inflate his ego to monstrous proportions and make him no better than his grey-furred AoA counterpart.
agreed. I am under the feeling that the current beast in the comics is the dark beast. maybe there was a mistake in a resurrection.
@@maikeweige1548 It would make A LOT of sense if the creators went in that direction. In the post-M-Day storyline, Endangered Species, Hank drank Dark Beast’s “liquid memories”. No doubt that had disastrous effects on Hank’s mind.

Nemesis was turned into holocaust and needs that bio suit because of a young Scarlett Witch. He killed her for it too.
It was Magneto who did that to him. It was revenge for killing Scarlet Witch. When Holocaust complains about it to Sabertooth, he replys with something along the lines of "you killed his daughter, what did you think he would do?"

I dunno, Hank has done some pretty sketchy shit in the comics this past decade. The X-Men don't even look at him as a friend anymore.
It could be argued that Marvel's making regular 616 Beast nearly as bad as Dark Beast.
I wanted that he had a degenerated Peter Parker "Igor" type helper, evil as him and mutated in his 6 arms form!
YES! Thank You for doing this. I love the DB. I hope that we get to see him in OTHER media, too (Cartoons and anime.)! The more of him that we see, the better. I'm not sure WHY they tied HIM into Sinister's motivation for the Mutant Massacre, though! That was a stretch (Like, a BIG one!). Keep up the good videos, guys.
Just a year or two ago, beast kinda massacred all the humans in Terra Verde & transformed them into a race of hostile plants.

Seems like he was being a bit of an ass before Krakoa, but I guess he's offsetting all the bad mutants who went good.
@@LikaLaruku Most of whom were brainwashed in some way (Vulcan stands out) or never actually went good and the others are stupid enough to keep including them (Sinister. oh my lord, Sinister) Or folks like Gorgon and Exodus (and Magneto..let's be honest), where they just played up to thier superiority complexes and they haven't backfired just yet.
