My Bosen LCS Longbow Extra Long limbs arrived. The build quality is exceptional. Need to do some tuning on my VPA riser but extremely pleased so far at this price point. Basically, amazing. 👍
Great job! And i am proud of these limbs and risers. They are really original designed from my country china. They were a marke to build custom wood bows before. But at last year, they have completely transfer to a factory producer, and focused on metal riser and ilf limbs. Lucky to have one of their custom wood bow. It is really a pity, that they don't produce them anymore.
I recently picked up a DAS tribute 19” riser. I would very much like to try a set of those LB limbs on my riser and see how they works. Thank you again for taking the time and putting this video together. I’m new to your channel and new to traditional archery. So far I’ve picked up and learned quite a bit from you in the few weeks I been following along and subscribed. I’m coming from the compound side of archery, I shot and hunted with compounds from 1997 - 2010. But in the last years I been away from archery for a very long time, it’s been 14 years since I’ve picked up a bow in hand, Again, happy I found your channel since I’ve decided I would now venture into more of traditional archery.

Since last FRI I am a happy owner of the Bosen Bows LCS Longbow Limbs XL - tailored to my 30,5“ draw with 42lbs (measured 43,4lbs 👍) mounted on a 19“ White Feather Woodpecker riser -> 66“ bow - 8,25“ BH. Amazing draw cycle! Super fast! Super smooth, similar to my Nika N3 recurve limbs. Reach with a 360gr arrow 206fps (but with a significant noise indoor - either from the more rounded 80gr tip or the maybe too light arrow). Reach ~ 185-190 fps with 400gr arrows (SP500/120-150gr tip) which seems to fit perfect. Tuning pending due to winter incoming…. Even the huge customs charge does not lower my excitement for this investment…! 😅
Really good video. I have a question about the last bow . Did your accuracy changed maybe from the extra draw weight you seemed ok with that. Thanks again for your video
Those static tip recurve limbs would be different for me to try out!! What is the feedback also how quiet are those limbs? I bought myself a win @win black elk riser because I watched your video. Really like this riser!!
I’ve tried the current Bosen xl carbon longbow limbs 50& 55lb on risers from 15” to 21” and I am not impressed with their speed. Shooting a 650grain arrow I’m getting about 160fps at 27”. To me their older carbon limbs with the bamboo cores are faster, the limb was narrower to the limb bolts as well so more of the limb seemed to be flexed in the shot. Maybe the foam cores are environmentally friendly but I’ve noticed the same issue in some other recurve limbs as well. I do appreciate your reviews though. Thanks Bob
Hi Max. could you pls check the RCX and RCX GT on the following data& What is a stored energy per pound for a 45# at 28"? And what is the gain in stored energy pero pound for the tips? Last 4"? Thanks.
I'm not equipped for studies like that. Plus, it would be different for every riser type, limb length etc. They do cam over and have reduced gain in the last 5" I'd say but that is very much depending on the setup.
i just chattered yesterday with sid ball fm border and he suggests this study in so way. in big numbers you can calculate the stored energy per pound using some spring at 28" and take an avarage. as per him the bows like ww hoyt black widow etc have 0,98 max per pound of stored energy, whereas a superrecurve can have up to 1,26 per pound . @@woodsmansfinest3814
then, he erased all the numbers from the chat. and what i have seen not exactly the CV5 but another limbs of border give 183 fps with 10ggp same as bosen-
@@alexyatsyuk70 I can not find your in between messages. I think all you need to know in terms of speed is in this video. the limbs are way more forgiving and safe in tuning than any border super curves. Took me a while to figured this out but try this for FPS, when the chronograph is turned on and number count start, before the number 6, keep the front button pushed until the end of the number count, MPS should appear on screen, push the front button once, FPS show up, keep the button pushed to validate then release, it should be FPS reading now. After watching this quite a few times you have helped me make up my mind on what setup I’m wanting to go with. I have been looking at the Bosen RCX GT Static/Super limbs for a little while, but not really many good reviews out there IMO. Your review was very good. Longbow Limbs: Would the longbow limbs manage a draw length of 31“ as well? Stacking? Lbs increase beyond 28“? Intend to put the 70“ limbs on a 19“ riser -> 64“. LG aus Wien! 😉
Servus! Of course you will feel the increase. I got a 28" draw on a good day so I have no idea what it increases like beyond.
