I had a French teacher who learned English while in school in Africa, but when she came to America, she had to pick up a lot of new words. She said she was really confused by the word "Wow." She thought it was the funniest word. Everyone was saying it, but apparently, it wasn't taught in English as a second language class.

Solzhenitsyn is a distasteful talentless waste of breath and a known liar who got debunked numerous times, while Dostoyevsky is deep indeed but psychologically unreasonably burdening at times. If you really are into "phrase, sarcasm and depth" as you claim, I'd rather you try out Pushkin, Lermontov, Gogol and Tolstoy. Their stuff hits the spot for real, mate, it never misses and never fails to convey and deliver the message.
I also recommend you to read Saltikov-Shedrin's books. It is a very unusual writer.

here in interview he is calm and absolutely another person but want to say to anybody watching it non russian speakers - his 2 strong sides are 1st his texts with amazing structure of phrases, words and untranslatable deep but at the same time simple meaning in it and 2nd the way he transmit his tracks - how emotional real trustful vivid aggressive but powerful and at once you believe him and follow him. his manner/creation becomes your support and inspire in any life situation even though most texts are sad.. we never had noone as him before and will never have. he is our modern poet with big soul. thank You Vlad for this conversation with his bright natural eyes.

Really good interview there, Vlad! Oxxxy is a very interesting guy, it's nice to hear someone from Russia on an English/American platform, because they make some really dope music over there, but when you don't understand it fluently, it's hard to get the characteristics of the artists.

I recently started trying to teach myself Russian and was looking for Russian songs to listen to. I clicked on a video simply because I'd had a discussion about oxymorons earlier in the day... The video turned out to be "City under Sole" and I'm hooked now 😀 and super motivated to get to a point where I can understand all the words.

I think there's a problem of understanding the phenomenon
of hip-hop in other countries other then Americaa everyone makes it their own in a new kind a way. Which is exciting. Can you imagine rhymes from the land of Dostoevsky and Tolstoy?It's not the same rap. You can't take it back like rock music or pop music there was a start somewhere but does it matter?

So a bit of context for Oxford, many students get very depressed whilst studying there. There’s so much pressure as very few are selected. It’s a big strain on an 18 year old.

Oxxxymiron’s texts are not some around-the-corner bullshit, whose target audience is bitch-slapping wanna-be gangsters and girls; his lyrics are on a different level - in a different dimention, if you will.
