I'd say that T-103 is a hidden gem between T8 premiums. It has good pen, big alpha and nice DPM. I mean, what can go wrong - a turreted TD. And it even works sometimes! :)
Reminded me of playing the ISU-152 back in the day, so much fun. Was away from the game for a few years and when I returned I found the ISU almost unplayable. It seemed like every second match a wheeled light would penetrate the backfield and farm the non-turret TDs.

Hey Claus - Great two-day TD review, mainly because those are all my primarily played tanks. The Skorp, SU-130, and Kjp 105 are all great snipers (and the Kjp 105 is simply the larger brother of the E25) and ideal for that more laid-back style of gameplay. And as you rightly pointed out, the WZ-120-1FT is fun as an unexpected brawler, particularly when it's top tier. One of my most enjoyable games in the past few years was on Redshire (I think? That's the one with the crashed Zepplin on one flank and the castle on the other?) The WZ was fast enough that I reached the interior of the castle, as did several of the red mediums, and was able to totally bully them, with some help from my friends, who prevented the reds from circling behind me. BTW, the WZ and the Tier VII Soviet Premium TD, the SU-122-44, are very close cousins and play the same.

You could watch them fly out of the aiming circle, nowhere near where my point of aim was. It got to the point where I would wait an additional second or two to shoot. No difference. It's like playing a slot machine. it really doesn't matter what you do, the game has already decided if you've won or lost at the spawn. I'm taking a break for an hour or two, so I figured I see what Claus was up to.
Claus is right, I play the Jackson and Hellcat, almost everyday. Once each, and if I do well, I make some credits. Then I join my Clan in Skirmishes and Advances, and make a massive amount of credits. Roughly 1 million per night. ie: if we mostly win.
It definitely works. I got the Forest spirit for free for something, well probably not free. Took it out 11 times had some okay games and some really bad T10 games. But made credits every time.

Funny the KanPZ105, 268/330 has higher pen than the tanks with the 128mm JP2, RHMSkorpG, E-75, E100 all 246/490. Only problem with playing TD high damage gun is that RNG has a much bigger impact. Great gun, great damage numbers, can't hit or pen! Just try the FV4005hitbarn if you want to see how bad RNG can truly be.
You can buy a premium td with high pen on the regular rounds ... ooor you can play a la cheepo, like premium ammo avoider does, shooting nothing but HE 🙄
Premium Ammo Avoider probably never played the Comet....... The Comet also had 12 degrees of gun depression which was a big thing back in the days of good WoT.
the comet only has 208 pen on its premium rounds only the leo and the p43 at tier 7 has worse premium penetration the t20 has 243 pen with its premium rounds so don't let your qb hate blind you lol but i digress in this scenario
Imo, good players can make almost any tank work and know how to switch between shells during a battle, bad players are those who only play competitive tanks and only rely on having better pen (aka premium rounds) to do well and not have to think harder and actually have to put their brain to use. Bad players no matter how good their "stats" may be prefer to make everything easier and so therefore imo they have the least amount of skill as it's not hard to farm WN8 in a tank spamming high penetration rounds or using competitive tanks and doing the exact same thing, oh and not to mention these types of players will always choose to have the best possible set up in terms of equipment and consumables. The only way to improve in WoT is to challenge yourself all the time. Making things easier for yourself is a sign of incompetence and shows that you need to always over compensate to stay competitive. Just my opinion, so agree or disagree, up to you. Edit: this was in reference to the HEAT spam in certain tanks claus mentioned. I of course understand some tanks don't really have a choice as WG designed the tank to be unplayable unless spamming premium. There's a difference obviously.
It does not matter what tank you play in regards to your win rate %. There seems to be a misconception that win rate % is based off of a single players play in battle. It is not. You can be in battle and kill 8 tanks and your team is a bunch of muppets and have killed NONE! You are the last man standing and the odds of you surviving 7 tanks swarming you are nil and none. So you lose the battle. Guess what? Your win rate goes DOWN!! I verified this with WG to be sure. So when you get stuck on teams that get blown out your win rate % goes down regardless of how well you performed.
Some of the tier 8 pref match making tanks don’t have great regular rounds but since only playing tier 9 down to tier 6 it’s reasonable. Chinese td typical Chinese gun which trolls you. What about the French tier8 prem td? Pierre can’t be happy you left it out. Ffrreeennnccchhhh. IZzzzzzzz bbbeeessssttttt!!!
I have played this stupid game since the Beta and have always played TD's as I'm not the best with heavy's or mediums.......Light tanks can be fun though. I have never spent a penny on the game. WG is full of shyte, they bring out a premium tank and for a time it does the job and then they nerf it so you have to buy the next new premium shinny what ever to to stay on top. My advice to all new players is this, play the tanks you enjoy but stick with just the few you enjoy and gain and invest in crew skills. Most tanks are good with crews with 4/5 skills. Also equip your best tanks with extra kit, rammers, gun laying drives etc it all helps. I have been in quite a few clans over the years and watched people spend silly amounts of money on tanks that in reality don't exist and many are still poor players. However its good that some people invest in the game so the rest of us cheap players can play for free. So if you are one of them many thanks. 🙂

Claus you are too harsh on the Baby, he isnt the way you discrbe him! He mostly shots regular ammo and only switches to gold if there is no other way to pen or its the finaly shot that matters to prevent a losing game , he only shots more gold if he is showing of a Tank to 3 mark! not like most other Streamers that shot ONLY gold!

Panther 88 premium is a bit of glass cannon but has high pen and super cheap shells. The premium French Sherman with the big gun is also pretty good.

Grinding the E25 years ago changed everything credit wise.
