Cade over Kat and Zion is just borderline stupid
Even over wall. Wall was a top point guard in the nba and drug the wizards to the 2nd round a few times. Terrible take lol
@@grayhoops9546 agreed
The question then is why is the person stupid?
Bro Zion is injured to much
@@grayhoops9546i honestly feel like john wall is a second ballot hall of famer
wait till simmons jump shot kicks in (he will sweep)
Yeah he will sweep the halls of a elementary school
@@nooby2907josh giddey?
Yeah, and he will still play like 10 games a season 😅
I like 29 years
He probably still won’t shoot the ball
i never understand why people call anthony bennett the biggest bust of all time. nobody thought he was getting picked first, and nobody thought he would be a great player. sure, he's the worst #1 pick of all time, but biggest bust implies that there were massive expectations that were not lived up to.
Big expectations come with the #1 pick even if you don’t have many pre-draft. And outside of the lottery you can’t really bust because you don’t have expectations. Being the worst #1 pick is the definition of a bust, because the team used the most valuable asset to just be disappointed
@@jeffreyware7808it’s very unfair to a player obviously not top 1 pick worthy though
Ben Simmons better be #1 💯

7. towns
8. cunningham
9. wall
10. wiggins
11. ayton
12. simmons
13. fultz
14. bennett
you lost me picking irving over wemby so didnt waste time reading 😂
@@mindgamesesports5090 okay? good thing ur a nobody, i couldnt care less if u read the list🤣
@@mindgamesesports5090u must be a child
@@mindgamesesports5090u dont know basketball. a top 75 player and champion is obviously ahead of victor. so is AD
It’s based off potential too bro
not a 6ers or simmons fan but if you said its off of ceiling I would have ben simmons over ayton and wiggins cus what he showed in those years like 2018-2021 was better than deandre or andrew imo, good list tho
Yeah but that lasted 3 seasons and it’s over now
@@mattwidmer7545 still longer then Wiggins though
@@bennettslavin3975wiggins better overall
I agee with Ayton but not Wiggins, Wiggins has done it for 9 years and ayton has only done it for 5. I would say Wiggins is above Simmons and ayton is not. Wiggins also has a ring and an allstar starter spot
I think the Ant stock is waaaay to high
He'll be great, but not the level people are ranking him. When it's all said and done, AD will be seen as a better number 1 pick than him
It’s close but it’s def fair to put ant higher than ad. He’s only 22 and the best player on a team that’s on pace to win 55+. His game is also playoff made so I could definitely see him being the guy on a finals team
For sure it’s definitely recency bias. Ad was the best player on that lakers bubble team. Kat being lower than Cade is also insane.
@@socho1 tbf it’s not just like ant just happens to be getting his shots up. Hes clearly taken a leap since the all star break and he’s added moves to his bags that we haven’t seen from him before. His passing has also greatly improved since then too.
Bro Ant’s great but he ain’t even higher than kyrie, its a joke
@@moffo2626 the list is projecting what they will be in the future and Ant def has more potential than prime Kyrie
oh man this is gonna disappoint me as a cavs fan. so much potential
Kat was too low, no way Cade Cunningham touches kat
Just switching Kyrie and Paolo because Paolo has the defensive upside and Kyrie never did
yeah but will he have kyrie's play off success or overall consistency?
Crazy that it was 09 when Blake was drafted number 1
Overrating John wall over andrew Wiggins??? He was an MVP candidate, and lead the wizards to the playoffs multiple times. If it’s about peak John wall should be higher.
People forget how good John wall is but his game after his injuries ruined him
He even nearly let an extremely mid Wizards team to the Eastern Confrence Finals.
Yea id even say Put Wall over Cade and Banchero for now, they may turn out to be better players ten years from now but they haven’t don’t anything to be rated higher yet
I don’t see the point in a potential argument it deals with pure hypotheticals the list should be purely on what we have seen so far
that's why all the younger ones are ahead...like expecting all these young guys to make it is highly unlikely. John Wall is disrespected here.
This video is the perfect example of recency bias
My Personal List (Based on Where I Think the player will be at their best assuming everyone is healthy; there is a caveat on Ben Simmons because I think 2021 Ben Simmons is better than some of the other players on the list, his career being cut short will hurt his ranking)
1 Victor Wembanyama
2 Anthony Davis
3 Anthony Edwards
4 Cade Cunningham
5 Kyrie Irving
6 Paolo Banchero
7 Zion Williamson
8 Karl-Anthony Towns
9 John Wall
10 Ben Simmons
11 DeAndre Ayton
12 Andrew Wiggins
13 Markelle Fultz
14 Anthony Bennett
Paolo should be above Cade IMO, he won ROTY, and his team is a playoff team with him being the best player, I agree with your list aside from cade should be switched with Paolo and Kyrie staying at 5
@@KingEarl I’m fine with it I think Paolo and Cade will be around the same level. I just see Cade as having the tools and potential to be the next great point guard with being a 6-6 player and being a good shooter, passer, playmaker, defender, and already has a good feel for the game in technically year 3 but year 2 due to injury. Paolo is great too and has a lot of upside too, and they will probably both be top 15 players, but I like Cade a bit more. Cade is also playing with the worst spaced team in the league, and he would look way more effective on a team that is better spaced rather than having defenses making his life hell by focusing heavily on him.
ayton over wiggs is crazy
#1 was obvious but I don’t agree with you on putting Ant ahead of AD for #2. You are basing this purely on potential. Ant hasn’t accomplished anything yet and his team hasn’t done anything in the playoffs. AD’s “potential” was even higher when he was the same age as Ant as some analysts thought that he would take over the league after lebron at that time.
Also I don’t agree with you putting cade that high. He doesn’t play defense, shoots poorly, and turns it over at a very high rate. If you are going to penalize Ben Simmons for missing games due to injuries then why does Cade get special treatment? Cade is getting hurt a lot too and hasn’t accomplished anything in this league besides constantly leading the pistons to the draft lottery every year.
T Wolves play one of the greatest seasons of all time only because Ant
@VincentSteele-sy9cy you mean because of a very deep team and rudy gobert, it's definitely not all ant.
@@VincentSteele-sy9cylol that team is stacked and they’re not even close to an all-time team.
You don’t think Wemby is projecting ? Lol
Gotta have Zion over KAT, you even stated how KAT can’t be a number one on a good team and Zion IS a number one a good team
I agree on this one, although I definitely think KAT will have a longer career and fit in more systems because of his shooting ability alone. KAT doesn’t have the mindset of being “The Guy “,not as bad as Ayton or Simmons, but still not a top
pick worthy IMO. He’s definitely more of a decent second option.
Zion is meh lol Zion is averaging 22 and 5 a game being a decent defender people had him as the best prospect since Lebron coming out off Duke in 2019. He has not lived up to that and never will.
@@emilfrederiksen.1622except it’s not ranked on prior expectations lmao what are you yapping about? zion has a far higher ceiling than KAT
@@rkroo In what world is his ceiling high... This is his ceiling. He doesn't stay healthy and clearly is not a monster in the training season to improve his game. Since his rookie season, what aspect of his game has he improved?
Zion's weight holding him down.
ant over ad is lowkey crazy
Banchero is so slept on 🤦🏾♂️
Hey man, nice video,
Just a small advice, your videos could use some visualizations, especially when you talk about numbers
I agree with both number 1 and 2 because your right on both of those guys. Wemby: Over the next 5 years, he's going to be the face of the NBA would be him and Jokic a true center battle like Wilt and Russell. He's in a historical organization of a winning culture and wants to be coach by the greatest Gregg Popovich. Overall, he's in the right system, now they have draft picks to build around him, and he'll get a championship in San Antonio. Edwards: He really surprises me on getting the recognition into the NBA playing alongside with KAT and really worked on his game to become the face of the franchise. If he can carry Minnesota further into the playoffs and win a championship, I can definitely see that.
Wembayama is crazy talented
He's already the best defender in the league
So hard to rank Simmons because peak-wise he's arguably a lot better than a couple of guys higher than him on the list but his peak was so short. Such a shame to see a player of his potential fizzle out like he did.
He has more better achievements than others
Ben Simmons is literally preparing for retirement at this point he knows he’s not getting more money
Zion should be higher, easy
He’s got a lot to prove
He should be lower 😂
@@user-ly9ok9ms3bgarbage take

Crazy you have 2 guys who won nba championships, not even in the top 2 behind a rookie and guy who has yet to make the all nba team.
Great video as always
That game 7 dagger in 2016 was 100% one of the best nba shots ever. Still gives me goosebumps.
2013 was such a weird draft. Only 2 future HoF players in Giannis and Rudy, the RoY is already out of the NBA, 1st pick is out, out of the top 10 picks only CJ McCollum is playing good basketball.
Paolo banchero take is really respectable might even be an mvp one day

the music at the beginning be goin hard 🔥
Kyrie and AD are def 1 2 or 3 I get why he put wemby. But ant has to prove it
John wall that low is crazy!!!
Dude actually lead a team to the playoffs multiple times.
What the fuck has Kat ever done.
John wall was a real stud
AD at 3 feels crazy, but maybe you’re higher on the young dudes in the league
out of those 14 players, only like 4 of them should be the number 1 pick in their draft class. So many of them have someone else in their draft class that should've been the real number 1 instead. Dont listen to the mock draft media. Orlando did their homework and went against the media and drafted the correct pick.
The Real #1 pick in every draft class:
2010 - Paul George who was selected at #10
2011 - Kawhi (#15)
2012 - Anthony Davis #1
2013 - Giannis (#15)
2014 - Embiid (#2) or Jokic (#41)
2015 - Devin Booker (#13)
2016 - Jaylen Brown (#3)
2017 - Jayson Tatum (#3)
2018 - Luka Doncic (#3)
2019 - Ja Morant (#2)
2020 - Anthony Edwards (#1) or Tyrese Haliburton (#12)
2021 - Scottie Barnes (#4) or Alperen Sengun (#16)
2022 - Paolo (#1) thank god orlando didnt listen to the media and pick Jabari Smith Jr.
2023 - Wemby (#1) but could change in 7 or 8 years looking back if he cant stay healthy.
Good analysis although I’m not sure about 2022. Paolo looks great so far but I think Chet may end up surpassing him based on the impressive upside and potential that I see from Chet.
@@Itsjustlikemagicmaybe I’m just not sure Chet is ever going to be a number 1 option and Paolo already is.
It’s still so bazar to me that Jokic was picked at 41
Ja shouldn't have gone Nr1. it's easy taking him one in hindsight but back than Z was considered the next LeBron and even yet I would take him above Ja
8 years of current Wemby would be enough to win title with
Mostly agree, but thought John Wall was too low, and some young players were too high because of upside.
1. Wemby
2. Edwards
3. AD
4. Kyrie
5. Zion
6. John Wall
7. Paolo
8. KAT
9. Wiggins
10. Cade
11. Ayton
12. Fultz
13. Simmons
14. Bennett
wiggins was the second best player on a championship team and has dealt with injuries and issues sense then idk i think he should be higher
Guess you haven't been paying attention.
Ben would be top 3 on this list 3 years ago. Crazy how far he fell
Okay, okay... Simmons ended up not being good, but that was after multiple all star games, all nba and defensive team selections. His years with the Sixers are way better than the career of Wiggins, and definitely Ayton.
So thankful that you put Ben third to last. I don’t care what anyone says he’s a bust, if he was a mid first round pick then okay good career but he did not live up to any number one pick expectations. Great video, keep killing it
Too much hate bro, leave it! He has back surgery ur a clown if U will not understand that. .
@@user-wc6bp7yk4z it wasn’t a problem in the 2018 playoffs. Or 2019. Or definitely not in 2021. And why were his back issues not a thing for the half a season he was holding out in Philly and then get brought up again once he gets traded. I’m not denying that he has some back issues but there are many times where he’s come up short where his back was not involved. He should retire at this point because Brooklyn is waiving his ass
They put ben Simmons on 12th spot. As i can see he has better achievements than others
One of my proudest amateur scouting moments was saying Ingram should have been #1 over Simmons - next was having Durant over Odom (but that was easy, can't trust a 7-footer with back problems at 19 yo and 2 differently lengthed legs)
I find it really funny,as we can see,the top picks from 2010~2020(2021 is a bit too early to judge) are not
even the top 5 players in the league in any time.
Actually most of them are not even the best player in that draft, which is ridiculous with the sample size.
AD was a top 5 player in 2016-2019 and easily the best player in his draft. I don't know what you're smoking.
I realized how old I am when i initially thought LeBron would be #1. 😢😂
Y’all jumping on the Edward’s and wembanyana train wayyy to fast lmao
john wall is underrated, dude carried Washington to conference final as a lead. How are other players ahead of him? Makes no sense. Definitely not top 2 or 3, but dude...most ahead of Wall hasn't done SHIT.
Other than the too early to tell ranking with Wemby, cuz injuries are coming.... pretty good vid. I rank this video #2
Yes, please do #2 picks as well. 😊
Do top 1-20 picks, boom 20: video series
I think you sold John Wall way short. 5 straight all stars, and there was debate between best young point guard in the East between Kyrie and Wall. Moreover, he led teams into the playoffs. Injuries broke him, but he was a premier player for 4 years leading up to his injury.
I think putting Wemby on number one spot is recency bias. If we are judging by the overal career ad/kyrie should be on number one spot. We shouldn’t be rushing to the conclusion because he can fall of like Simmons did
Anthony Edward is OVERRATED
I still think that Simmons deserves the spot of Ayton for sure. We look at a player like grant hill who had 6 great seasons with a soft spot in our hearts bc of injuries and I guarantee the community would vote him way over Derek Fisher or Ron Harper’s career…. They had great longevity but Hill was that dood. Idk, just my opinion… lemme know if you agree or na
Btw I am high on Ayton still. I would be the first guy to say that he is hated more for who he was drafted over feather than his production.
Simmons peaked higher than ayton
@@Namroc27If you put Ayton on the Spurs and brainwashed him to have David Robinson’s or TD’s mindset, then he will for sure be a top 10 center even in history… However he got the body but not the brain…
10x rookie of the year Ben Simmons is the best rookie to win 10 consecutive rookie of the year 😂
Anthony Edwards is the best not only his story is inspirational but a good player back in his college days
It’s not a crazy #1. It’s Wemby’s world, we’re all just living in it.
Wemby hasn't done nothing I'm not sold yet.
No it's not and he shouldn't be #1 on this list. It should be Anthony Edwards
@@Chris-fz7mu tf you mean he hasnt done nothing? hes literally had a 5x5 game, one of 2 players ever with mj to have 2 consecutive 5 blocks 5 steals games, a triple double with blocks and more, as well as averaging 21ppg 10rpg 3apg 3.5bpg and 1.4spg, and hes only getting better
@@Chris-fz7muThe likes of MJ or LeBron also didn’t do anything in their rookie seasons…
Like, isn’t it the point of the video to make assumptions of their ceilings?
@@Chris-fz7mui still dont see why there are people not sold on wemby.. you mean if all of them in the same draft you woudlnt pick him? the org wont think twice in kicking you out. 😂
Do this with top 2 and 3 picks
Great Video👏 Paolo Banchero absolutely a Super Star
This exercise shows how impressive LeBron’s career was. Working through tithe hype to become the GOAT is stunning.
Please do more of these
Banchero’s ceiling, if he really evolves, is to be a Towns twin. Towns is already that player. I really have to question Banchero being ranked higher than Towns. Respectfully.
i thought i would be mad once i saw you put Antman at #2 but i gotta admit Wemby could easily be that #1, i still think Edwards is #1 but i cannot argue that he might be 2 next to victor.
Great list imo Zion may be a bit low but he's regressed scoring wise + missed a ton so I see the logic. As a Spurs fan, WEMBY GOAT PERFECT #1
I kept waiting for Luka until #2 then I remembered that he was drafted #3 lol, absolute joke of GMs
I agree paolo is top 35 which kinda sucks he makes the all star game over other top 25 players better than him like fox or sabonis or Kyrie etc.
Or play in the West my guy Paolo made it because he plays in the east.
This is a weird ranking for me
Well, it's your choice of course on how to rank it 😊👍
14:09 long ass travel😂😂😂
Kyrie, AD, Edwards, KAT, Zion in that order are the top 5. Wemby´s sample size is too small
1-Kyrie
2-AD
3-AE
4-Wemby
5-Zion
6-Paolo
Fam, I'm on pick 11 of this video and you telling me Ayton is better than Ben Simmons? OK had a better career so far? I don't even care for Simmonsbut his resume is better than a lot of these young players.... 3X all star, All defensive team (KD ain't even make one of those) All NBA 3rd team, RoY.... Ayton had done what so far?... I'll keep watching but his 5 year run is better than most
I ask chat GPT if this AI can rank all the #1 pick in the NBA and make a redraft whi will go #1. Ask it to do just the top 10
Chat GPT:
Focusing strictly on 1st overall picks for a redraft based on their NBA careers, accolades, impact on the game, and considering their leadership and contributions to their teams, here's how the top 10 might look:
1. **LeBron James (2003)** - A transcendent talent who has dominated the league from the moment he entered it. His combination of longevity, versatility, leadership, and success, including four NBA championships and four MVP awards, places him at the top.
2. **Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (1969)** - The NBA's all-time leading scorer with six MVP awards and six championships. Abdul-Jabbar's skyhook became one of the most unstoppable moves in basketball history.
3. **Magic Johnson (1979)** - Revolutionized the game with his size and playmaking ability at the point guard position. Magic led the Lakers to five NBA championships during the 1980s, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest to ever play.
4. **Tim Duncan (1997)** - The cornerstone of the San Antonio Spurs' dynasty, Duncan led the team to five NBA titles. Known for his consistency and excellence on both ends of the floor, he earned two MVP awards during his career.
5. **Shaquille O'Neal (1992)** - One of the most dominant centers in NBA history, Shaq's combination of size, strength, and agility was unmatched. He won four NBA titles and earned three Finals MVP awards.
6. **Hakeem Olajuwon (1984)** - "The Dream" was known for his incredible footwork and defensive prowess, leading the Houston Rockets to back-to-back NBA championships in the 1990s and earning two Finals MVP awards.
7. **Oscar Robertson (1960)** - Although it took until later in his career to win an NBA championship with the Milwaukee Bucks, Robertson was a groundbreaking player who averaged a triple-double over an entire season, a feat that wouldn't be matched for decades.
8. **David Robinson (1987)** - "The Admiral" was the linchpin for the San Antonio Spurs before Duncan arrived, leading them to two NBA championships. Robinson was known for his scoring, rebounding, and shot-blocking abilities.
9. **Elvin Hayes (1968)** - A key player for the Washington Bullets' 1978 championship team, Hayes was a prolific scorer and rebounder throughout his career, making him one of the greatest power forwards of all time.
10. **Allen Iverson (1996)** - Despite never winning an NBA championship, Iverson was one of the most electrifying guards in league history, winning four scoring titles and the 2001 MVP award. His impact on the game extends beyond his on-court achievements.
This ranking reflects a blend of individual brilliance, team success, and historical impact. Players like Bill Walton (1974), who had immense potential but faced injury issues, and recent stars who are still adding to their legacies, like Kyrie Irving (2011) and Anthony Davis (2012), could also be considered for such a list based on different criteria or future accomplishments.

Great youtuber, should ve bigger 💪
your not crazy with the victor pick
Ad +1, zion +3, simmons +2
Victor shouldn't be #1. Not because he isn't the best or has the most potential. But it's only his first year!! Like many of these other players, a single injury and their entire careers were ruined. What happens if, god forbid, Vic gets injured? You can't just put him #1 based off his "potential" seasons. I'd say AD or Kyrie deserves to be #1. Wemby either 3 or 4 with ANT.
cade being over zion is not my choice tbh since he himself has had injury problems. Zion when healthy is top 3 of the recently #1 guys
If we talk about their rookie years so obviously wemby number 1
But for now in their whole career maybe irving or ad number 1
We don't see wemby future

You say multiple times in the video that the list is based on where you think these players will peak in their prime, but then you put Ayton over Simmons... Make it make sense
You’re slow as fuck, he means who will have the better career
Woh Am I the only one that heard him say Wemby is arguably top 10 rn??? Idk bout that
He is arguably top 10, if not then top 15 FOR SURE
Do this for the whole lottery 😊
I loved the video, but think it's pointless trying to rank Wemby at this point. In ten years, he could either be the best player in league (if he stays healthy) or retired (due to injury). Both seem almost equally likely to me. How can you rank a player like that?
think of it this way, if there was a draft right now with all of the players mentioned in this video, who would you select with the 1st first pick? Keep in mind, Wemby has literal one of the greatest of all time potential. You can list every hypothetical out there to dissuade yourself from picking him but 10 out of 10 times, GM's will always pick that kind of potential over anybody else. I'd love to come back to these type of videos 10-15 yrs from now a lot like how there were numerous doubters for Lebron...
Yeah let's do number 2 and 3 overall
