In terms of versatility and capability its unmatched compared to standard aerial platforms. However, Tulsa, OK replaced 5 of these trucks in their fleet due to mechanical issues, the main cause being the weight of the boom on the truck itself
Alex Miller: This ladder is great when it’s working nice, but when the aerial messes up, and it will, it’s a true nightmare. I’ve been. Stuck in a bucket and co workers had to get another ladder truck to get me down, good thing I didn’t take it the whole 114 otherwise I’d have to use that escape ladder that runs along the side of the aerial. I wouldn’t waste time with one. Sorry
Beautiful trucks ❤❤❤❤
Now that's a neat truck!
Why no underslung jacks? That seems to be eones most unique feature!
We got a couple of these in Phoenix,Glendale,Tempe Fire dept
I'm in Phoenix right now
That's a very interesting unit and I like it. But that overhang on the with the turntable aft of the rear axles looks like future frame problems.
should have added a rear steerable axle
I find most major fires get out of hand in high winds. How stable is a ladder or tower truck full extended while standing up to turbulent 40 mph wind?
31 mph is the maximum wind speed allowed
Is this popular with US departments? I only saw something like this in Canada but not common with U.S. at least in large cities like NYC or DC.
Not really anywhere. This type of truck company is very job specific ....so it’s kind of a donkey on bastard design.
NYC is getting a new one so n
Manchester New Hampshire has some but there older than this one
Randy creek Disney world fire department just got 2 new bro to skylifts
now that's a ladder truck,,,how much???
Amazing vehicle
It definitely does

Looks like this may exceed the Rosen' T-Rex.
Bronto ?
Anyone out there have experience with these? My department is currently giving one serious consideration

My fire company runs an 05 bronto. It is a very versatile truck but has had some mechanical issues. Overall, it's a great rig.
