Glad they saved that truck! 👍
How we’re you on scene so fast?? Excellent camera work!
1:21 ❤😊 1:37
So basically, they saved the truck.
L
Shit!
Now they have a hell of a mess to clean up!
Well..at least they saved the truck and put out the fire!
Someone threw their lit stogie in the trash. For shame, for shame!
This realistically happens when folks throw their “dead” batteries in their recycle bins… there’s just enough charge left to conduct on a piece of metal or something that will conduct a current. This has happened to me three separate times. And yes, we can narrow down which house is doing that very easily. Separate your batteries, don’t throw them in the garbage or recycle, this happens a lot more than you think.

Raddy, ddy, thank you this channel, how to handle, settles the trush in this location is not easy, routine daily works needs to be clears on the same day, too lets know mine experience what ever, clear the trush not to collect with cupboard or paper, separately it cause of hitting in side the trush rubbish track, it cause of fire in, make sure check before dump all the item, not to full, back again to collect the trush, too all teams involved this dutys bless with stysafe, styhealth, take care and be careful where ever on works any location,. Good luck, thank you this channel sty safe and take care, always be careful.
36318 cleared the hopper on time
How did that happen 😮
One of the reasons is when people throw batteries out in the trash, and when the garbage truck starts to compress, the trash will cause the battery to ignite, and a fire starts
This is what happens when you throw away many different rechargeable electronics. Take them to a recycling center for safe and free disposal.
This happen to me one time I was on my route some one put some hot ashes in a bag had to dump my load out on to the street
@@jeraldford3494 I'm glad you survived the fire uninjured!
Most time you see the truck burn up, awesome to see quick response times coupled with common sense procedures lead to quick extinguishment and preservation of property!
Seems like the smart move is to dump the load fast. The entire load. Those trucks are normally capable of doing it fast if the components haven't been damaged by the fire.
🎉🎉🎉
5400 block of bothwell rod?????????? Really????????? cannot confirm that on the map. where is this
Good thing this isn't in Smell-o-Vision!
Elmer Fudd has Smell-O-Vision!
My thoughts, that’s got to stink!
LA garbage truck is on fire
Friggin Awesome 👌 right in the street !
Looks to be a lot of recyclable material in the truck. Don't they recycle there?
Or it could be a recycling truck.
Guardo i rifiuti e vedo che la raccolta differenziata da quelle parti non la fanno....complimenti.
Probably the only time that garbage truck ever got fire disinfected and a good hose down. The neighbors going to smell that wet garbage and dirty diapers in their street for awhile
More then likely it was. Lipo battery that is to blame
Way up in front,,must of been somebody at work
Me impressiona como não tem nenhum vizinho curioso kkkk, todo mundo em suas casas, me parece meio morto esse local kkkkk
😮😮😮

👍🤍💛💛🤍💚💚💚🤍
Look its a 3min 06 sec video of the biden/harris presidency
Lol, true.
I am very confused. why would these firemen have the trash unloaded onto the street when that allows more oxygen to enter the truck and increase the fire? why would you not simply spry water/anti fire foam from top of your firetruck ladder onto/into the fire? why would you then spray water / foam onto the trash pile instead of coveing with fireblanket the small trash pile. Your procedure makes absolutely no sense. what a mess
It make’s perfect sense. Dump the load and get the fire out quicker. Plus better access to the interior of the truck. Nothing complicated about it
It's also a compressed natural gas fueled truck. The worst place for a fire is in the truck.
@@sammerav3474 interesting. So, do you think it's good to "loosen up/open up" the area by removing trash, so more oxygen can get in and fuel the fire?
@@biancagadi786do you drive garbage trucks? If you do (and you work for a good company) then you’d know that when a trash fire occurs in a trash truck, the first thing to do is call your supervisor and let them know the situation, either them and you or both of you with contact the fire department. Next is to compact it with the sweeping blade. You do this to try to suffocate the fire. Finally, once the fire department is on scene and if the fire hasn’t been extinguished yet, then you have to pick the safest area possible to dump the entire load and let the firefighters extinguish the fire.
These procedures apply to any trash truck: rear, side and front loaders. It is the safest set of procedures to do, so that you (the driver) and the truck are saved. ESPECIALLY on a CNG (compressed natural gas) powered truck with the tanks that are mounted on top of the compacting area. That is literally a bomb sitting on top of the fire.
So yes, this is a good idea. The only think I didn’t see this driver do in the video is to compact the load first. Other than that, yes this is correct.
@@DavidGavinETC Well, obviously I do NOT drive a dump truck. that snarky remark was not necassry.
Anyway, thank you for your explanation.. Learned something new. Very interesting, I will start doing some research on fires like that.
Should be nice to get water from the truck and then have a hose feeding the truck !,to make it faster !!,🫢🔴🤫
This would suck if it happens in front of your house
I remembered that was happening in early morning May 1987 at California school for Deaf in Riverside. the Garbage truck dumped the trash out in the parking lot near Gymnastics building in campus after the garbage truck catch smoke.
