I’m having a breakdown of skin on my outer labia. It’s agonizing. I’m on high dose taxol. I’ve seen a dermatologist who wants me to start stoma powder and liquid skin. Do you have any tips?

We're sorry to hear about the pain you're experiencing. High-dose taxol can be really tough on the skin and mucous membranes. Using stoma powder and liquid skin, as recommended by your dermatologist, can help protect and heal the affected area. Additionally, keeping the area clean and dry, wearing loose, breathable clothing, and using gentle, fragrance-free products can provide some relief. Wishing you relief and healing soon!

These are common side effects of pertuzumab (Perjeta). It's not uncommon for people to have to stop the pertuzumab because of severe diarrhea. Talk with your oncology pharmacist about ways to manage the diarrhea. There are quite a few options.
