Hi there, Kayla! First of all, I love your project. I've been doing woodworking for many years now and I'd like to respectfully give you a couple of tips if I may. Your wood felt a little rough after using the polycritic because of air bubbles. This is a common problem with poly products. You can alleviate the problem two ways: 1) Use a brush rather than a foam applicator - as the foam promotes air bubbles due to its porous nature. 2) Use steel wool with a 0000 rating or very fine grit of sandpaper between coats of polycritic, then use a tack cloth to rid the surface of dust really well before using your vinyl.

Absolutely adorable!! I recieved my cricut maker for Christmas and it sat in the box until May. I still haven't made anything with it because it is so overwhelming! Right now I'm just watching TH-cam videos so I can learn something. I love how you actually showed us how to do things on cricut design space. Thanks so much for sharing! 🌷

Love this! You can also drill two holes at the top and thread your rope or ribbon through to hang it and if you don’t want the holes to show just cover with a bow and some greenery 😄
I have the EZ bow maker from Michaels and I love it. Easy to make all kinds of bows for projects and hair bows. It's like having an extra set of hands.
Love this!!!! I was so excited to make something as soon as I got my machine but it keeps saying after scanning that my machine cannot read the cut sensor do you know what I’m doing wrong ? 😩
Oh wow I didn't even think about making hair bows with it. I have a 2 year old daughter and it would be so fun to make her some. I definitely want to purchase it for future projects as well!

So I just watched your video for the first time and it was a great help. I loved the sign and wanted to try making this, I already bought the wood round at Lowe’s. I have been using Design Space for quite awhile, but it is always difficult to maneuver unless you just jump right in and make mistakes to learn. The info on contouring was very helpful. Did you download the image and then upload it to Design Space. Very good, and helpful video. 😍💕

I staple my rope on the back and put hot glue over it so doesn’t scratch the surface, I also use 651 and have put it on a cement scalloped boarder without sealing it and it is still sticking been 2 yrs now

To prevent the rope from unknotting you can dab it with glue. And if you do not want the board to stick out so much when it is hung, you can adjust the rooe so the knot is at the top when hung. Of course this works only if you like visible knots.

I've been using the Free Cricut Design space for 1-2 years and I just noticed they are trying to charge me for when I make my previously saved projects. Any idea on why?
Thank you!! ❤️ When you use copy you have to copy and paste in design space but duplicate is just one click. A lot of times I like to just hit duplicate :)
Very cute sign. I normally do Modge Podge as a sealer after I apply the permanent vinyl. I feel that it makes the vinyl more permanent and no chance of it lifting. I enjoy watching your channel!

I also used rope but then used glue around knot for extra support.
Turned out so cute!! I use gorilla glue or E6000 after stapling the rope to the back!

You don’t add anything over the vinyl to make it weather / UV proof ??
Is the vinyl affected in any way because you did the clear protective finish first?

I’m so confused with sealing. I use permanent vinyl too but my vinyl lifts up on insulated water bottles that are only hand washed

I prefer to use strong ribbon as the hanger. To me rope seems too bulky and it creates too much of a gap behind the wood round and the door
