I remember this figure. The automorphing trailer was really neat. But in my honest opinion, Armada Optimus Prime truly shines when he is combined with Armada Jetfire and Armada Overload.
I got this one and it's precious, despite the lack of white paint in the shoulders/bottom of Optimus Prime and that it consumes really bad the batteries in the trailer (they leak :/ ). Awesome figure! PS: I whish this Optimus was the winner of the MP contest. This deserves a Masterpiece figure (we passed the 15th anniversary of Armada)
Probably my favorite little feature about this prime, is the little white button on top of his head that made his mouthpiece move like hes talking. I love the armada series. Many great memories.
Asia was lucky because they used yellow plastic on Prime here while everywhere else in the world has gold plastic which disintegrates into dust by just looking at it. Lucky we got the armada Prime coming in legacy. Great video keep it up
Primus, the plain yellow parts and paint on the Takara version look ugly... If they were actual bright gold, that would be good. But no, they're the same plain yellow as Sparkplug.

The joints were also too tight in that area so after all these years that I've had him, both finally broke almost at the same time. My question is, why is the one in this video got yellow plastic for Optimus's arms.
@@joeordaz8011 The Only ones I know that didn't have the trailer was the one that came with a different minion, the plane that becomes a gun if I remember correctly and didn't that Optimus have extra joints to increase his mobility?.
This is the Micron Legends version from Japan. They used unpainted, yellow plastic instead of the gold used here in the states. It was sturdier but also a good bit more expensive. Nearly double the price back then. Armada Optimus goes for about $80-200.00 today, loose and complete all the way to sealed in a box. Micron Legends, same conditions, $350.00-$500+
His hands sure stick out lol the prime truck robot though misses the mark for me and the super mode not only misses but leaves the planet for planet kibbles
