Hello, I would like to ask how the fan is holding up? How much noise does it make? I found the same manufacturer model number in eu and I am thinking about replacing all the fans completely.
Hey do your fans always run so high? They’re pretty loud even when replaced right?? I just upgraded and got a deal on a used ROG Strix 3080 10GB from Amazon and it runs hot and I’ve had a few issues with plugging in my DP cables. How hot does yours run with maxed out settings at 1440? Which games?
Hi! If it’s a used card, I recommend you to do a proper maintenance, I bought even new strix 3080 and it had thermal pads oem leaking oil! If yours is a used one and most likely V1 , I’d bet it was used for mining and ran 24/7 with fans at max speeds. Mine is not loud even at max, that’s smt really cool about the strix fan system. Mine doesn’t run hot at all!!!
@@MAIKUS07 it’s actually a V2! My GPU temp is around 70-80 C when running Fortnite at all epic settings specifically. However, I only have 1 fan at the back of my case which could be why it’s running hotter too. I just don’t know what to do, I could still return it. Unless this performance is normal? The fans are spinning between 2000RPM-2700RPM when it’s at 70-80 Celcius. Which is when the fans get audible
@@sapients2664from the start, if you don’t have a proper cooling system on your case, then the whole system is wrong from the get go, you need a balance between intake and exhaust, it’s very inexpensive and quite often a a solution that can bring down temp by 5-10 Celsius in many cases. Second download hinfo64 and check what you have on junction temperature when playing at max settings, if it’s lower than 90 you are ok , if it’s 100 or more I’d worry and change thermal pads, keep in mind if you gotten a good deal, and you have the knowledge and security to do what I did in the video, then you have a good card, you maintenance is sometimes forgotten but a must at some point in life of the Gpu and a 3080 strix it’s an amazing card (3090 is a big leap and more lifetime, but it is what it is 😅) . Last download Mai afterburner and set card as default and then put fans at 80% that should be an acceptable db of the fans noise(up to you really, I rather have my card tuning as cold as possible, I use headset when playing anyways), you could also leave it at auto… but no matter what, arrange the systems fan properly!! Good luck!
Hello, are all the thermal pads on the rog strix 3080 2mm? I was thinking of buying to exchange and I wouldn't want to exchange the wrong one, could you help me with that?
Hi!! I have done this in so many strix 3080, I lost count. Trust me, all you need to replace is the thermal pads (and paste for core) and put on the backplate as well to achieve the same result shown on the video!!! 2mm is perfect, at the description you have the links to buy exactly the one you need. You could change the other ones that are smaller but there is no need, just be careful not to break them when you take the pieces apart, do it slowly and if it breaks put it back, those don’t change the overall result!
Hi!! I also knew that but I saw a very detailed analysis from jayztwocents regarding that and final conclusion was, pretty much not a big difference, I shall try fully covering it, when I get a small shovel to spread accordingly on my next Gpu 🙌

Better to do it only once 😁 and you end up with a strix for many years to come!!
You’re right! I’m now looking up the thermal pads to order them. It says 2mm in the video, but you also mention 1.5mm in the description bro. What size and how much would you say I should order?
Hello, I would like to ask how the fan is holding up? How much noise does it make? I found the same manufacturer model number in eu and I am thinking about replacing all the fans completely.
Hi! I have found that operation is exactly as oem, no DB increments at all, if you have found the same then go for it!!!
@@MAIKUS07 Sweet, thank you for answering so fast! ❤
What is the software you show on the video plz ?
Hi! It’s called Hwinfo64, when it opens click just sensors only, good luck!
@@MAIKUS07 thanks man appreciate it
Hey do your fans always run so high?
Man on gpu is necessary to put thermal paste on all the surface of gpu die. It is not a cpu that have IHS.
Hi!! I also knew that but I saw a very detailed analysis from jayztwocents regarding that and final conclusion was, pretty much not a big difference, I shall try fully covering it, when I get a small shovel to spread accordingly on my next Gpu 🙌
where you get the fan replacement part ?
eBay!
thanks a lot bro
HI THERE IS NO LINK FOR WHERE TO ORDER THE FANS :(
Hi!!! This is where I bought it from, it comes with logo and I fear to say it’s the exact same Chinese factory fan , good luck!!!

is it possible to install the Noctua fans instead of the original fans?
Which Noctua fans? Do you have a link to see them?
How would you attach Noctua fans to this in the first place? I am planning to do this with two NF-A12 but I can only see four screws in total on the gpu.
Where did you order the fan from?

my 3080 is getting almost 78 celsius on game
Bro rog strix is better than msi suprime x?..
Hi!!! They are both top of the line models from their respective companies. I remember getting one suprim x and it wouldn’t hold its MH, I got more than 12 Rog strix and they all worked since day one… that was my experience only, hope it helps!!
