I was upset when I first found out Billy used co-writers for this song. Listening to Freddy on this interview made me realize how well spoken and knowledgeable he is, no wonder Billy decided to work with him. Freddy is a younger version of Billy and now I see how important he is in bringing Billy back to song writing. Thanks Freddy!
I also had a tough time accepting that billy didn’t completely write this but Freddie needs to be commended for bringing billy back. Can only hope and pray there is more to come. The song itself is a masterpiece that is haunting and moving
While I appreciate the Howard Stem videos, I think we got more out of this video, being able to hear from both Billy and Freddy. Seems like Billy has a good relationship with the interviewer, Fareed. Thank you for the video. 👍👍 I'll be saving it.
Wow. The detail with which this video has been created is a living testimony to the influence and importance of this American artist. I believe Billy needed this to realize the scope of his influence on young songwriters. Truly lit.
So terrific to go back to Washington Heights to film the video at the United Palace theater! The amazing staircase and tremendous passage ways, that amazing theater is like another character in the video. 🎶🎵🎶
How did Fareed’s producer not tell him that Billy Didn’t write it! He tweaked and arranged it. TV producers are incredible. That aside, great recording.
Great song, great interview but the CGI on the video is a bit creepy the images of early Billy are not spot on and it's like strange looking. But who needs the video., the song is fabulous
@bassmann - Well, Billy DID SAY, in this interview, he didn't want to be SEEN, lol. Also, A.I., is not "THERE", yet. I thought the 70's Billy, was spot-on, but, here, we find out it was Freddy as the "body double"/actor. The 80's/90's Billy, if one isn't trying hard to "analyze" it (typical of the younger generations, always analyzing EVERYTHING, instead of just "taking it in"), weren't bad, either. But what do I know; I'm 60. 🤷♂️🤷♂️😁
I'd like to know exactly how much Billy had to do with the song. Watching this, it seems like 80% Freddy - 20% Billy. I'd like to know the full story, because I thought the melody was from one of Billy's old songs, he recorded but never finished. It sounds exactly like a Billy Joel song. I'd like to know more...
Michael Pollack and I sang this song in one take at Michaelangelo Studios in Soundview , Bronx on the set for Raising Kanan. Also gave him Flowers and Used to be young by Miley Cyrus. Also gave him Did You know there's a tunnel under ocean blvd and A&W. Your welcome

Billy wouldn’t have done any of this, if not for Freddy. May his muses indeed reawaken. All hail Billy Joel.

Howard should bring Freddy into the studio for an interview sometime.
Brilliant concept for the video. Bravo Freddy! So happy Billy Joel said yes!

Very well said. 👍👍

AI terrifies me, but this is a beautiful moving video.🎹😊
Billy Joel’s new song is definitely of prime interest when analyzing world affairs.
Thanks for posting!
Thank you for posting this.
O personally hope Billy Joel also does a new song of his own. Doesn't matter his age, I dont think Billy Joel has lost the knowledge or the skills. 😮❤
BJ is so , so , doesn't realise we love to see him too
Billy was entering another time in his life when he stopped writing , he was burned out and I believed his best stuff was behind him

0:36 Storm Front from 1989 is missing.
It did look rather robotic, but incredible!

Than who needs the comment.

SPOILER ALERT:: The finished music video IS NOT included here.
Also: Why didn't Billy do the "Billy Joel" movements for the A.I. ?
