Take that turquoise and golden material you bought and have a blouse made from it ;when you held it up to your face it just made you come live on screen. Every time you wear it will be a happy and blessed day
What a inspirational video. I really enjoyed watching and loved the hand dyed fabric you chose. The coordinating fat quarters are perfect. You are glowing and I can tell you really loved your visit to Paducah. I want to go next year! Thank you Claudia!🥰
Wow, Claudia, You’re a Lucky Bum to go to the Paducah Quilt Show! I am happy to hear of your experience, just a thrill. 👏☺️ I subscribed a few weeks back and enjoy what you make. Take care and have a lovely weekend. 🥰 Chris
When my kids were young we drove to Bowling Green KY to visit the caves. It was pre quilting days. Well I took a course when I was not a parent but put my quilting desires aside to raise two sons. I’ll need to check this out.
Claudia: what a fantastic excursion you got to go on👏👏👏 Thank you do much for sharing with us! Your fabric selections were gorgeous and I’m very excited to see what they will turn into🤔😳. I grew up with Hancock fabrics in AZ, but they closed many moons ago☹️. Here in the Nashville area there was a couple of stores but they to have since closed☹️☹️. I will someday venture to Paducah Kentucky to check that all out!!! 😀❤️
Thank you. I was born and live in Kentucky. However, I live in the Foot Hills of Eastern Kentucky. I have not had a chance to go to that quilt event. If I every get a chance to go, I'll try to remember to view the quilts first then do my shopping.
My word, you got some beautiful fabrics! I'm still nursing my cold and resting as much as I can. I very much appreciate that you have shared this video and want to thank you for this. I hope you have a joyful day ahead!
You were remarkably restrained in your purchases at a quilt show like that. I haven't been to that one, but I've been to the Houston show. Drool. I have been to Paducah on a family trip from Texas to Michigan, so while I was looking in Hancock's, my husband and son were waiting for me (pressure!). I missed the quilt museum. Bummer. Your video makes me want to go back.
Oh I would love to go to Houston. One day hopefully! I hope you get back to Paducah. It was a lovely trip for me and I hope to go back too. And I agree, thinking back I probably would have gotten more fabric at Hancock's but I had a budget too. Thanks for watching and saying hi!
@@CreatewithClaudiaThe trip to Houston was back in the late 70's or early 80's. The charter was a great way to go for the comradery and getting dropped off and picked up at the door, so parking wasn't a hassle. The stop in Paducah was in the mid to late 80's, and unfortunately I was navigating, I got us lost and we ended up on a long, rickety, narrow bridge that was part wooden. Then I got us lost when we left there. When my husband finally stopped for directions the person he asked was really baffled at how we'd ended up there given where we started and where we were headed. Ahhh, good times.
We've been down 3 times. They have greatly improved the store since the 1st trip. We bought several pieces but I wanted some Dr Seuss fabric, got 12 different ones. But we were down probably the week after you were there. It is a cool store
I never been to a quilt show. Since I m new to quilting but not to sewing. What is the quilt behind you on the second shelf ? Can we have a look at it?
Hi Leslie - Quilt shows are lots of fun to go to! Are you talking about the pale green quilt with coral on the short shelf or one of the quilts on one of the taller shelves?
Leslie - That is my final quilt for my 2021 mystery quilt Stars of the Prairie. Here’s a video about it And you can see the whole quilt. 🥰th-cam.com/video/ULKdLKUTjO4/w-d-xo.html
I'm glad you had a great visit to Paducah (and thanks for the name-drop at Hancocks!)
Thanks for watching! It’s a great town and store!
Thank you that is a lovely 😍 insight into the quilt show

There used to be a hancocks in a nearby city. Really loved it. Sure miss it. This was so much fun!
Thanks Phyllis! I would miss it too. Glad you stopped by.

Going to Paducah someday is on my bucket list.
My next bucket list quilting item is Houston. Not sure when that will happen, but a girl can dream! Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for sharing. I try to go each year. It's only a 2-1/2 hour drive for me.
Oh wow! I wish I was that close! Thanks for watching!
