i have watched this video many many times and only now did i hear you say that someone complained about your details!!! lol OMG may I say that the devil is in the details and its because of your details that I love watching your art journal playlist over and over and over again (really, I think I would be rich if I was paid every time I watched a video of yours). Keep up the wonderful work - you are such an inspiration to me!!!
Shyni Moonlightings I totally agree! How could anyone have the nerve to tell someone else how much or how little details to use??? I too, adore Vicky's journals. Newsflash for you complainers, you can't tell someone else how to make their OWN JOURNAL. You can only dictate one person's journal - your own! Thank you, Vicky for always inspiring us. I adore your journals, including every single little detail.

Here it is 2021 as I watch another one of your wonderful videos. I learn so much from you and absolutely love my big markers and how to care for my materials. An art teacher I had my freshman year told me to care for my brushes and I’d have them forever. I still have them all!
Don't listen to those who say you add too much detail:-) You make fantastic art on these pages and like you said; art journaling is supposed to be personal!:-D I love your work! I have watched SO many of your videos now, and I can't pick out which layout I like the most, because they're all amazing!
I really enjoy the dimension that you add to you art journal the shadowing and highlights enhance the page dramatically. What I really like about your videos is that not only to you tell the viewer what product you're using, you explain why. As a novice in art journaling this helps me understand how the products will add help with the creation process. One could read about this however, I learn better by watching. Thank you so much for showing your creative process!

@Doreen Bostwick gesso is a primer, think of it as thick white paint while gel medium is glue that dries clear. They are totally different mediums.
