Ahhhh...another wonderful episode, nice relaxing w/Glenn on a Fri morning w/my warm herbal tea. Who apologizes for recording too much of a scenic drive? lol Glenn...the nicest guy on the road! hahaha!
Oh wow, loved Virginia City, certainly has some interesting vibes. The view at the overlook, spectacular 🤩. The drive north through the pines is beautiful, you certainly had a gorgeous day for this adventure. Love always 💖✨🌞
Great episode! Virginia City reminds me a little bit like Deadwood. It would be interesting to spend more time there exploring. Glad to see Glenn bringing us along on the drive, I never knew that part of Nevada was so beautiful! 😊
So much in this video, poor Glenn couldn't stay long at the overlook in order to keep things rolling! There was a moment for me, in one of the saloons in Virginia City, of deja vue. Fast but strong. And those pines in California were magnificent! I'll be watching this one again for sure!
Thank you very much for sharing, Glenn. Beautiful canyons, trees, an iconic city, gorgeous pine forests and the amazing results of volcanic activity. And those blue skies above, so beautiful and timeless! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family!
Virginia City is great, but I'll always think about the last time we were there. We stopped by one of the antique stores and they had a copy of New Mutants 98 there for $2.00. Knowing that it is somewhat valuable event though it wasn't the in the best condition, I bought it and sold it for $300 to my local comic shop!
Very cool old western town! Clearly a favorite tourist destination. If they could manage to get all those overhead utilities out of site, a major accomplishment:)
Wow, great to see you visit the Subway Lava Tube and at Lassen Park. We lived close by in Red Bluff, CA for fifteen years before we moved away. We camped a lot at Cave campground (right across the road from the lava tube). Your video brought back great memories.
Virginia City- I’ve only heard of it from Ghost Adventures!! Happy to see the shout out to Zak Bagans! 😂🥰 - I’d love to make it out to the Reno area. That lava tube was huge!! Much bigger than I was imagining for the area.
Hahah! Yeah, I remember the Virginia City episodes. I think they've been there a number of times. And just wait if you think that the Subway Lava Cave was big. 😉
Another great video.. That lava tube trail was VERY COOL!!.. Really excited for you're itinerary on this trip.. Lassen looks like it's going to be incredible ...
There in the Comstock mines, aka; Virginia City, over 40 million feet of lumber is holding up that hill. The square set timbers are still there as a testimony of them hard working miners. Thousands of feet of wooden pipe was ran from the lakes for water, until they hit water below the surface. That's why many of the forest look sparse.😊
Slim is still around. He was just taking a break on this particular trip since it was all paved roads. He enjoyed his rest time and will be returning full-time once this trip wraps up. 😄
They're both excellent old towns with lots to do and see. Fairly comparable in terms of things and places to explore with history attached. We really need to spend more time in Virginia City to get a better feel though. 👍

😂 Oh, I've got a number of clips of him grumpy at other drivers or the Google Maps lady. 😅

Love always 💖✨🌞
Oh, it was a BEAUTIFUL day. The weather was playing nice on this trip for the most part. 😊

It's gorgeous, right? We would love to head back to Virginia City and explore further. Deadwood as well! 😄
Thanks for the tour of Virginia City & the lava tube! Can't wait to see what's next...
Lots more to come! 😄

Interesting! I wonder what it was in the saloon that triggered the deja vu? Those moments are always so strange and unexpected. 😅
@@CactusAtlasIt was the chandelier at the Old Washoe Club, the quality of light. Who knows....!
Love Virgina City and Lassen.
Such very cool places. Really would love to go back. 😊

Merry Christmas to you too!!
Ive driven by subway many times and never stopped, thanks for sharing. 😊
You’re welcome 😊 It's worth a venture if you're in the area again. 👍
I could almost feel the cool air in the lava tubes! Very good video.
Thank you so very much!

🤣🤣 That. Is. AWESOME! Well done! 👏
Interesting road tour 😊
Great looking road trip, that overlook was amazing.
Thank you! It was a lot of fun. 👍

Haha! True. How many times do you have a beautiful landscape and there's some high power lines just stretched across it? 😅

Aw! Very cool! Happy to spark some of those memories. I imagine that they were very good times. 😊

Tacked along the Carson river to HWY 50

Oh it is incredible. Simply beautiful scenery. 😊
Love the town.
Darn I hope to get to travel there. ❤
We hope so too! 😄

Well, that makes sense. Reminds me of Jerome, AZ. You have to wonder sometimes about all the tunnels underneath and how things still stand. 😅
Really cool video ❤❤❤❤
Yay! 🙌 Thank you!
You should check out CALAVERAS BIG TREES STATE PARK in CA. Wonderful forest if varied big trees. Great camping.
Heck, yes! Looks right up our alley and with a campground to boot? LOVE IT! Thanks for the recommendation! 😄👍
Lava tube is too cool
Just wait! More to come! 😊
Can someone tell me where Slim is. I may have missed the video where Glen changed vehicles 😢
Slim is still around. He was just taking a break on this particular trip since it was all paved roads. He enjoyed his rest time and will be returning full-time once this trip wraps up. 😄
How does Virginia City compare to Jerome?
They're both excellent old towns with lots to do and see. Fairly comparable in terms of things and places to explore with history attached. We really need to spend more time in Virginia City to get a better feel though. 👍
@@CactusAtlas ive been to Jerome on way to Flagstaff
Spectacular
@@CactusAtlasIt would be great if Cactus Atlas returned to Virginia City at some point! 🌵
We'd love to! Would love to stay at the Silver Queen for the old vibes. It's just a wee bit of a drive though. 😂
"I JUST SAW THE BIG V!!"... 😂
🤣😅
