The heavy tank balance in this game is terrible, like bruh, heavies are supposed to be inpenetrable by most guns on the battlefield, and gaijin is like: the heavies are too armored and impenetrable by most (but far from all) guns, let's up their BR, so they're shafted by most guns on the field, their armor becomes dead weight, and the gun a mosquito deterrent (germany gets guns that penetrate KV-1s at 3.3, on medium tanks). Heavy tanks usually have plenty of exploitable weakspots, don't turn the entire tank into a weakspot
I highly suspect the reason why it's where it's at is because they (meaning Russia, and by proxy, Gaijin) are still salty that they got their asses handed to them during the Winter War against Finland. Sure Soviet Union claimed victory, but they paid dearly for it. Long live Simo.
Doubt it. Once the Red Army got themselves together and we’re on their way to winning WW2, the Finnish had to beg the USSR for a ceasefire and agree to give up a significant amount of territory to avoid being completely conquered.
@@thedukeofnorton which they got back in the Proclamation of December 6, 1941. The USSR may have "won", but they technically lost because they were poorly equipped, poorly led (as is typical with Russian leadership, the example of which we can see in Ukraine), and weren't familiar with the terrain. Unlike the Fins who, despite being outnumbered and somewhat outgunned, managed to inflict heavy, heavy losses on the Red Army before the armistice/"treaty" was signed. And I wouldn't say the Fins begged for a cease-fire, friend.
@@thedukeofnorton Finns didn't have to beg for a ceasefire, the soviets were quite eager for it. UK had announced that it would send soldiers to aid the Finns against Soviet Union (as an excuse to seize the ore deposits in northern Norway, Sweden and Finland), and Soviet Union not wanting to find out if the UK would deliver on their promise proposed a peace treaty. As for the continuation war, the Finns negotiated a better deal for themselves by stopping the final soviet grand assault. Could they have defended themselves further? No, but as long as the Soviets didn't catch wind of that, Finns didn't have to beg for a peace treaty.
It's even stranger that thiS KV-1 is the same BR as the german KW I C 756 and KV-85. Also, fun fact the turret armor was "downgraded" to match the turret armor of the german KV-1 shortly after release. So it's just 100mm all around excluding the mantlet
Fun fact: During the production run of Tiger 1's, the VK 45.02 (H) was developed as a stop gap between the Tiger I and the then "Tiger III" heavy tank. ( later known as the Tiger 2 or king tiger) with the Chassis being lengthed slightly to accommodate the new design changes. The design incorporated a Slopped armor plate instead of the famous flat 100mm plate and a slopped upper Glacius plate to protect the transmission along with the side armor being sloped slightly. The VK 45.02 (H) was to be equipped with the Tiger 2s first production Krupp turret with the 8.8 cm KWK. L/71 gun. However, the design was not persued, as the stop gap design was deemed unnecessary as the then re-designated Tiger 2 design was almost ready for production, so the design was shelved.
@7:34 Yes, yes they have. Day Sixty of asking Spookston to play the SU-100 (The one based on the T-34).
You've got to keep going, just keep trying.
from my experience with the Chinese SU-100, that thing is really hard to play because it has like -3 depression
Im soo glad you played this rating in this video, thought I was the only one non-penning KV
@@thedukeofnortonthe ussr wasnt even close to completely conquer finland
@@taistelusammakko5088 ‘avoid’ being completely conquered. Hence why they begged Stalin for forgiveness.
Attempt whatever to get spookston to play the qn506
Day Forty of asking Spookston to play the Semovente da 105/25.
If we keep it going, we will get our requests in one day.
It's even stranger that thiS KV-1 is the same BR as the german KW I C 756 and KV-85. Also, fun fact the turret armor was "downgraded" to match the turret armor of the german KV-1 shortly after release. So it's just 100mm all around excluding the mantlet
13:11 confirmed 🏳🌈
lmao

*obliterates poor AA*
14:57 that tank was starting to believe and began to soar into the heavens.
Kv-85 has a 40mm plate just below the turret on the side it isn't extra armor 2:44
5:24 that might have been me, what tank were you using?
@7:34 Yes, yes they have. Whenever you first use bino's in any ground vehicle, regardless of if you've already used them in the same match before, it will point either straight left or right, and sometimes even backwards. Don't even know how they screwed that one up, but you know, here's 4 more $70 premiums!
If i was in 'pointing my gun at the floor as i move across the battlefield' tournament and my opponent is Spookston 😣
Had the bino thing throw me off, too. It's almost like the camera starts facing the turret roof.
“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
