Nice video for beginners. I live in a different region but a similar climate as you. I work at a store that sells onion bulbs like these (plus the green transplants), and I'll try to direct new gardeners to your video. Seeing someone do something is so much better than reading how to do something.
I didn’t do well with onion sets last year, but my seeds are coming in well this year. What would be really helpful is to know how many of each vegetable to grow. I’ve sown 60 cabbage which is a bit excessive as I live alone! I am expecting failures so I know I won’t get as many, some may not germinate or some get pest attacks etc x
I often sow too many and it is really useful to have back up and you can share extra plants with friends and family / it does depend on what you’re sowing as to how many you need / after a while you get used to it / with cabbage 30 would probably be enough but honestly don’t worry after a while you’ll know for yourself as we all like some veg better than others / better to have too many than not enough
