Grandma bought a new 1964 Rambler American, she loved it. I drove it only once, and that was with 6 adult passengers. The year is 1970 and I'm driving home from Aunt Mable's home in Meadville, Pa. back to our home in Eastlake, Ohio. The Rambler didn't have power steering, but once it got moving it was easy to drive. That car didn't give grandma any BIG money problems. I though the car was OK. Oh...and it was a green and white Rambler American, a color combo that was common for those cars. A bad car...Chevy Nova. In the winter those cars were often stuck in ditches on side of the roads...right next to Pontiac Firebirds.

The Rambler American's rear valance arrangement seems inspired by the current Pontiac Tempest 1961-62.

The first gen Darts suffered from mediocre body quality A man I know who bought a Seneca from new had severe finish deterioration issues after five years (1965). The ultra violet sunrays peeled off the paint from the rooftop.

He sure doesn’t know much. The valiant slant six cylinder was a very, very, very, very, very reliable car that never broke down. That’s why Chrysler stopped making the slant six it was too reliable. Their V6 were shit.😮
