Cebu, Philippines ➖ After spending a few days in Cebu city, it was time to visit a highly recommended island, Bohol! So many people were telling me to catch the short ferry ride over to this fantastic island and experience some Filipino paradise! I paid a bit extra for an express ticket, and we hopped on board. It wasn’t the most exciting of journeys, as it was completely closed in and we weren’t allowed to roam around. But it was still really cool island hopping, on a popular mode of transport!

Island hopping in panglao is amazing but more of a tourist area. I enjoyed most in the local places like jagna.

Hey Luke....Glad you made it safely to Bohol. Your fan at the pier was suggesting to go to the Island of Siquijor (not the Secret Island...lol). It's known as a mystical island and its many adventure filled waterfalls where you swim in the crystal clear blue-tinged waters. How's your hunt for TURON - the caramelized, deep-fried "banana spring roll" enhanced with the delicious flavor of langka (jackfruit), the crispier the better!!!

@@giannishen ini scan po nila cguro ang ticket mag mukhang original. Pero nakasakay naman po sya sa barko. Meron daw pong connection sa loob yong nagbenta. Pero may kababayan tayo huminge sa kanya ng number atbp. Dito po sa germany registered ang mga cp number kaya mahirap makapanloko dito.

It’s okay you paid 1200 pesos rather than waiting in the long line. I would do the same too . Those guys are just trying to make a little money to make as their income to pay food. But my advice be careful leaving your bags or backpack in the port because their are also people there that will snatch your bags. Always keep your cross bags or backpack in your body especially if you have your passport or money. That’s my 100 percent advice to you Luke! Good luck in Bohol and have fun!

17:40 that's not new to us, we used to it the sellers at the Boat/Ferry they always doubled the price that's not a foreign prices😂 that was actually their local price🤣. My advice to you Luke you should buy snaks at the port because it was way more cheaper than the stores at the boat.

Traveling like that can never be genuine. An overpriced ticket because he wants to be superior to ordinary Filipinos and not stand in line. 800p for a luxury taxi instead of 200p for a tricycle driven by a Filipino who tries to feed his family and pay his monthly rent or installment for his vehicle in these difficult times here. 150usd for a luxury hotel room. Maybe he should travel to the real Bohol, where people eat frogs to survive.

You have to know The Philippines. This is not overspending and it's not generosity. He just spends as much as he needs to have a trouble-free s and luxury vacation. And it's not generosity because the people who get his money are already stinking rich to Filipino norms. Most of these expensive resorts are foreign owned and the taxi companies are owned my rich Filipinos.

8:30 The guy said "Siquijor Island" Luke, not Secret Island. I think the most famous attraction there is the Cambugahay Falls... Yes, Jack 'n Jill Snacks is Filipino and have been around for ages. Maybe since the 70s. The one you had - Piattos Cheese flavor - is one of my favorites. It's masarap.. Can't wait to see the next Bohol videos :) Btw, i think when you go back to Manila, you should try the Cheese Room at Spiral Buffet, which some say is one of the best buffets in the world. :)

Hope your next travel will be visiting our place in Northern Mindanao particularly Cagayan de Oro, then side trip to Camiguin Island, Bukidnon. Lots of fun and adventure awaits for you. You can take an overnight boat or by plane from Cebu to Cagayan de Oro in just 45 minutes flying time.
Oh men.. don't support those fixers.. they're illegal bro.. thats the reason why the personel in the ticketing office intentionally stock the pile of line..they get money on that scheme...i feel bad for the people who waited and fall in line..thats a big issue here in Philippines... Usually happens in government transactions or ports....

@@LukeDamant We have a place here in the Philippines (in Zamboanga) there, they speak "Chavacano" it's a Spanish-based creole language which 80% of its vocabulary is Spanish. We have like 600,000 Chavacano speakers.

You'll find some of the biggest Astronomical observatories in the world and it's free to visit. You just got to email them. This is Astronomers paradise! In the same area you ll find natural hotsprings and El Tatio Geisers. You'll feel as if you jumped inside a time machine when you arrive in San Pedro...There's an Inca city / ruins next to it, and you ll find the oldies mummies in the world (Older than Egypt) From there you can visit Machu Picchu in Peru which is not that far...Southern Chile is also very nice. especially the lakes area with German influenced towns such as Puerto Varas. It looks a bit like New Zealand...Santiago the capital has a lot of attractions. You 've got the San Cristobal hill with its cable cars and forests, and an amazing view of the city, you also can see the Santa Lucia hill which was a Spanish fortress to fight the Mapuche indians who burned Santiago down 7 times during the colony, this is right next to the city! In the background the Andes mountains next to it with its ski resorts and the ocean and largest swimming pool in the world about 1 hour away to the east of Santiago.

you did not do your research well. Bohol has different port of entry. If you entered thru TUBIGON, BOHOL ,the ticket would only be 375.00. For Tagbilaran , fare is only 800 for tourist class and 1,200 for business class.

I don't know why they don't allow to record video in public places. The government should allow people to document their experience not just for their safety but for public awareness on how management systematically interacts with travelers for improvement and pleasant experience since, the Philippines is open for tourists and travelers.

Be used to paying a separate terminal fee and environmental fee but they are usually minimal... They go to other companies/government agencies that why they separate it. But yeah, adding them to the ticket would be much more convenient
