Hi Thomas - thanks for the comment and checking out the video.. The pipe actually came as part of the kit with the tap so I am sorry but I don’t have the exact specs on it. I’d say getting it in a kit might be the way to go then hopefully it will all be good 👍
Hi there, could this wiring diagram be used for a switch? I am l little confused by the interchanging description of the titles "tap/switch." I am looking to wire a on/off switch for my water pump. I'd like the option to turn off power to my water pump so if the faucet is running but the power to the pump is off, it would not work. Could you please help clarify?!
Hi Jessica - I think I understand and this is also how mine is set up… So there is a micro switch on the tap itself so when you turn the tap handle to get water that then activates the pump and to get the water. Also what I have done is then wire back from the tap to my 12v control panel that has a “switch” so then like you mention you can turn off the power to the tap/micro switch so it won’t run. I hope that makes sense? If not then drop me a comment and I can try and explain a bit better 😀 Thanks for checking out the videos by the way! Are you doing your own conversion too?
Ah OK cool - thanks and good tip.. I just followed the instructions from the supplier 😂 Maybe not always the best option! Everyday things s a school day! 👍
I guess you could use any 12v battery but if it’s for a camper the leisure battery are designed to last longer and also can take more cycles from discharge to charge
Great help. Thank you very much 👍
No worries! Thanks for checking out the videos 👍
Great help for the wiring can i ask what amp fuse is needed ??

Excellent thank you
No worries 👍 Thanks for checking out the content and the kind comment 😃
Hi. What size or type of pipe do you run from the pump to the tap ? Thanks ! Very useful video

What can I use instead of leisure battery
this isn't actually the best way of doing it - the load of the pump will shorten the life of the tap microswitch. much better to use a small relay!
