Lore context: (I love this world and the fact that it came from MLP and took on a life of its own is extremely cool)
Sometime in the future, Habro realized that MLP was so popular that they opened the new firm Hasbio (a bioengineering firm). The genius plan they had was to create an entirely new species called a “biotoy”. A living, talking toy mainly for little girls. They would breed them, neuter them so they’d be the only supplier, and sell them to families making billions.
Once the announcement of the biotoy was made PETA activists raided the lab and freed them. Except they were far from perfect. They breed extremely quick, poop everywhere, and die extremely easy in the wild because they were designed to be too weak to harm 6 year old girls. They spread out and caused a mini apocalypse. Destroying crops, throwing the ecosystems out of wack by giving predators a massive food source, and leaving massive piles of crap and corpses throughout cities and towns.
Hasbio is gone due to the scandal. But the people are left with a seemingly infinite invasive species. Governments and exterminators try to reduce numbers. The more sadistic people torture them. Some love them as pets. Some people make the problem worse by letting their pet fluffies have kids or setting up breeding farms to sell the ones with good colors. They’re everywhere. It’s up to you how you treat them.
