Good review! My favourite boots for casual wear. I’ve 3 pairs of VB Gobis - the Black Chelsea like yours, and also in Bark, a lovely chocolate brown with a gum sole which looks cool. Also have the Gobi winterised lace up in dark green. Vivo have done so well with the design and functionality of these!
Have you ever tried the Xero Gracie? It’s more like a traditional ankle high galoshes boot. It’s a solid rubber boot with the same tread as the prio. I have a pair and I love them for rain boots.
@ oh that stinks I didn’t even realize that they only did women’s sizes. Yea it’s so hard to find just a regular barefoot rain boot. The Gracie is basically the only one I’ve ever seen.
I've been watching for Vivo to drop mens' Chelsea boots in black for years, I've even emailed them about it. I don't see these on their website but I hope this means they're coming!

Love my VB Gobi boots, I wish more boots had stitched soles as my Freet Bootee M failed after 18 months and they were great for every day use, similarly not advertised as waterproof but very good all the same. Thanks for all your reviews, take care of yourself 👍
My favorite barefoot chelsea is the belenka entice for now, but I want to try the vivos too, unfortunately just the black color except the brown winter version.
@ Yeah, especially the proportions between sole and leather feel like normal shoes and not ditched like many other barefoot shoes. I think their profile provides good grip as well. The only downside I see so far after almost one year wearing them is the glued sole. But they are selling a new version with stitching now as well.
Yea, they're both highly water resistant. I'd say the Vivo's are slightly more WP, while the Muki's are slightly lighter and warmer with the wool insulation.
Haven't tried them, but I had the Ridgeway sole on another Xero shoe and it was very stiff, I didn't like it. Unless you need it for like construction work, the Vivo's would be the way to go.

No, but they look really cool. Too bad they don't come in men's sizes, because barefoot rain boots are super rare.

It's so funny how oftentimes boots that don't get labeled as "waterproof" end up being more waterproof than "waterproof" boots, ha.

The tread on those reminds me of my old Adidas Sambas, ha! But in any case they do look nice.

Have you tried these on wet surfaces? Trying to see if this would be a solid shoe for front of house in restaurants
Yea, Vivo's rubber has some nice stickiness on wet pavement and concrete. Although, any shoe can slip, you it's good to stay mindful.
Is the Muki also similar in terms of waterproof to the vivid Chelsea?
