  • This is the first in a series of how-to videos created by Katie Acheson Wolford to help you build the skills necessary to draw with one continuous line without lifting your pen.
    Each video will focus on a different skill that, with practice, will help you train your eyes and hand to work together. These skills will hopefully help you gain confidence in any style of drawing, and allow you to better be able to draw what you see!

    It’s so hard to train your eyes and brain to start seeing things in shapes and colors, but once you do it’s amazing when you go to create. This is an awesome video for understanding values and how to see them!!

    i do a little cheating when it comes to stuff like these; i print out the refference picture, and put it underneath the paper that i draw on.then with the right lighting position i draw some sketchy lines on shadows and shapes and then i place the print and the drawing next to eachother so i can instantly compare the shadows. its not exactly a carbon copy but it turns out amazing

      Sakura Pigma Micron PN, it's a hard nib and can take a little more than the .5 or 1 standard Micron pens!

    Is this a style complete newbs should start with or should we start with studying anatomy and all that?

      @anitabongrip 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      cymones curio I wouldn’t start with this type of art. Learning anatomy will help u in the long run for drawing but if u like this style then go for it. There’s no rules in art

      I have another video that shows a bit more basic of skills that will help you work up to this style: th-cam.com/video/QGQvUn5NnXU/w-d-xo.html Anatomy and perspective drawing skills are always helpful to build, anything to make you a better observer will make drawing more fun and less frustrating!
