I've installed (I pronounce it taw-know) covers on my last three trucks. Very handy. As I, too, was concerned about someone with a knife, my covers were a harder material that flipped back in three sections, and more expensive. In my current F-350, I had an auxiliary 50 gallon fuel tank installed at the cab end. I quickly discovered that with the 3-section hard tonneau cover, I had to remove the whole cover to fill the aux tank. I listed the 3-section, hard cover on craigslist and what I got for it pretty much paid for a new, soft, roll-up cover like you installed. It is much easier to refill my aux tank now and I have never had any issues with vandalism in the four years and many miles that I have had it.
I've had the gator covers for yrs.while living in the upper Midwest and they held up fine. I recently switched to a hard cover for security reasons. One lesson I learned with the soft covers after I moved to Florida was that I couldn't run my hand along the velcro anymore like you did to secure the velcro during really hot days as you will find out why if not already.
Well that’s like too easy to install 👍🏻. I call em to-know covers. Cause three yrs ago i was looking at mopar’s covers thought i wanted one, geesh I sighed over reading the instructions on the hard cover one. So far not bothered, nor really need one. But you do! 🍻

Use pool noodles they may help keep the H2O out.
Where do you put them?
@@LyfeUntethered you can cut them to length. Then just cut down the middle and and feed it through a space that would allow H2O to run inside.
