Not a fan of skeletonized movements, but well done CW, making decent watches attainable 👏

A CW owner on the lower rungs. Wasn't ready to spend 2k on a CW 10 years ago, not ready to spend 5k on one in 2024. Doubt it's for the regular CW buyer, but good luck to them for trying something new.

They will sell out on a limited run, but the publicity it creates will be priceless in promoting the CW brand.

Great video! Some provocative talking points in the 12-14min mark, especially with the comparison to AI adoption broadly.

Fantastic video and review. The call back to a previous Watches & Wonders video with the tape measure was pure 🤌

I can appreciate wanting to see the watch innards on an academic level, but I also know myself, and that curiosity will be short-lived. I need a watch to be legible and attractive for the rest of the time.

Fave thing in Geneva: Crispy beef strips at Jeck’s Place. Spicy-sweet soup is a close second.

Skeleton done well is still super legible. The CW isn’t sadly. At 6k+ CAD it’s a pricey option as well

I love looking at all the gears and springs in a skeletonized watch but...I like my time to be more obvious, easier to read.

Not a fan of skeletonized watches, but I liked the Zenith Defy and Oris Propilot X because they look like a balanced total design concept, not two separate designs, movement and case, smashed together. Which is what the CW still is.

I really, really liked that half-skeletonized Apex Trident with this movement. Although I don’t own a skeletonized watch yet, I do like ones that I find well executed. This new skeletonized twelve is well executed IMO, though I’m not a huge fan of the twelve’s case design. The Ming-esque lume here is super cool.

I generally do not like skeletonized movements, as I find that the "busy-ness" of the face can detract from the legibility of the watch. The CW does fairly well in that regard, however, as the contrast of the hands helps them stand out from the mechanical goodness below. Will this become my 5th Christopher Ward? Time will tell.

CW prices on the Bel Canto went insane. I remember thinking it was hype at the time, plus I wasn't a fan of the small sub-dial. Ho hum.

Good video thanks for posting. I think Christopher Ward gives so much watch for the price.

The Tellurium is really interesting and impressive. Not sure I’d want such a large polished thing on my wrist, but a matte blasted version would be tempting.

The Christopher Ward branding is truly awful, it’s the horological equivalent of Tommy Hilfiger 🤢. So it’s nice to see the recent releases pairing the corporate branding back a little bit

Way overpriced....sorry. I do like it a lot but can't imagine a world where I buy this.
