Thinking that self care or other things is inherently feminine is part of toxic masculinity. Video was good and dontai reaction made it better. I feel men have been wrapped into the same thinking that have been passed down through generations that you have to be the leader or basically you have to do everything. Pay for meals, hide emotions, be toxic etc. And the tradition of that being passed down to us men isn’t necessarily bad but it isn’t good either in some cases. Like personally I think men should pay for the first date especially if he initiates it (but that is something that should be worked out between you guys, I could just never ask a girl out and then not pay.). Then we have toxic masculinity where men have the idea that women are here for only us and that has been instilled in us. As a Christian we learn that god made men as the head but to a degree and I don’t think we should abuse that just bc we are men. Now for emotions I personally think we just gotta open up more but more to people we trust and that can honestly comfort us. I came from a family that would show their emotions whenever even my dad. Sometimes I feel like you bottle up emotions you got to let them out and sometimes maybe it is best if you do it to yourself. Cause you can go to those you love and who knows they may not be that comfort you need. Basically don’t be afraid to let out emotions but not to everyone cause not everyone will be beneficial
