Located in Tararua District, near Pongaroa. Waterfall is located on private land, make sure you have landowners permission. You are very likely to encounter cattle. On a rainy day there can be plenty of deep mud and parts of the track can be slippery. This is working farm.
Amount of water depends a lot on recent weather and rain falls. In summer there can be almost no water. It is best to check with landowners beforehand in order to avoid disappointment.
