SRF154: TUTUBAN STATION - MANILA PHILIPPINES

  • 20th Anniversary of the Philippine Railway Historical Society.
    Back in May we took a look around the yards at Tutuban in Manila. This is the fourth part of a series that covers the visit.
    Massive changes are expected to soon take place, so views like this will soon be gone.
    Part 4 covers Tutuban station itself, the trains coming and going, plus a look inside the station building itself.
    I would like to thank all the PNR staff, most especially GM Jun Magno, for their kindness in allowing me the visit.

    Thank you for capturing these scenes. :)
    These will sure be a part of history, and these videos will indeed give some future railfans, or ordinary people alike, a grasp of what the wonderful Executive Building of Tutuban looked like. 👍
    Also, I do really miss 921's clear Wee-Honk horn. I fell in love with her horn when I rode with her on the KiHa 52. As of now, 921 has a clean Sharp G note horn.

      A sign of respect.
      He is a very close friend and been a supporter of the railways there since before many fans were born.
      In the next month or two we start the new legends series on the channel. Same answer for all who will feature in that.

    How is the PNR signalled? Every video I've watched shows a lack of any physical signalling system. Is done by radio communication on a station to station basis?

    • @NeathSpadge
      @NeathSpadge  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Seems to be all on train orders at the moment.

      @@mjt8199 I have seen, and taken photos of, the small slips of paper used.
