Amazing footage of your Antarctica journey. It looks like the Atlas Ocean Voyages World Navigator ship to Antarctica is an expensive cruise (not a budget one), given the flights, hotel, lounges/alcohol, and activity details that go with it. It gives viewers perspective on cruise lines to choose on their own voyage. Ushuia seems like a nice embarkation point. Thanks for sharing.
Atlas now does their charter in and out of Buenos Aires. They have a two for one sale until the end of the year. It’s the best time to book. Let me know if I can reserve one for you!

It looks like things have changed a bit since your sailing as we needed to make our way to BA and then from there, we meet up with AOV for a night and then our chartered flight to Ushuaia. Thank you so much for all the great advice. We are about to go to Australia (5th), Antarctica (6th) and then my last continent will be Africa hopefully next year (still planning). It's so exciting!

@@LaineyMelnick Buffet and luxury just don't go together, but then one person's budget is another's luxury. Travel agents are a thing of the past; nowadays, people just book directly on the website or call the credit card companies and get the reward points as well.
@@joyjoy534 If that were true I wouldn’t be here! Many luxury travel options have some buffets as well. These trips start at about $10k per person and go up to about $40k. If you feel that’s budget then I’d love to have you as a client! 😂
@@LaineyMelnick I don't have much interest in most of these Antarctica cruises, I am allergic to sleeping in a closet for a couple of weeks and flying in a cramped and crowded plane. I am, however interested in Four Seasons Private Jet vacations that include the Antarctica cruises starting in 2022. Surprisingly, most of their 2022 trips and some of the 2023 trips are fully booked!

It's different now. That charter was a mess as you saw so they now include the charter from Buenos Aires, so I'd need to get you to and from there on a different flight. Let me book you!

I am going on an Atlas Ocean Voyage Antartica cruise and saw your video - on the form that asks for the size of Parka and size of the muck boots - what size Park did you choose? What size muck boots?
I am a small. I have a video just on the parka, it’s a short. I wear 7 boots. You’ll try them on onboard.
You said something about the spa. Is there a cost to that? Do we need to book early and what do spa features should we book?

Did you find that excursion times felt limited, since you had to share with other passengers? I love the Atlas ships, but I am considering a smaller 100-150 passenger ship like Lindbald to allow more excursion time, and as it may be more kid friendly. Thoughts?
You are limited legally by how many people can go ashore at a time and for how long. Every ship has the same requirements. It was definitely not an issue.
I saw that they have a Paddling and Sea Kayaking. What is the difference? Can I do the sea kayaking if I have never kayaked before?
No that’s for advanced kayaking. You’d want the paddling. It’s all explained in the video rewatch that part.
I saw that you had a waterproof bag when doing the sea kayaking. On the sea kayaking do they provide you with a waterproof dry bag? If they do is the waterproof bag to use only when sea kayaking or can you use it when go on land with the zodiacs?

In your video as you boarded the Antartica cruise the Atlas nurse asked you about the Dramamine patch for motion sickness and heard her suggest you start taking it at the beginning of the cruise. Did the Dramamine patch have side effects (like drowsiness, nausaue etc) that impacted how you felt during the cruise? Would you recommend taking it at the beginning of cruise or wait until you cross the Drake?
You only need it in the Drake so you take it before. I took non drowsy pills and felt fine. Please let me book your trip!
In Antarica can you take pictures or video with your cell phone camera or is it too cold and the camera freezes?
Mine did ok sometimes but did have trouble with the cold. Check with your manufacturer
