You'll have to ask one of the more redstone oriented hermits with help to make a semi-auto afk concrete farm. Then all you'll have to spend time getting gravel and sand which shouldn't be too bad overall.

To all the people saying: "make the joker a sand permit": Doc is going to make it that everyone needs sand, so if you have a shop of it, you will need to gather so much sand if you're the shop owner! 1) that's a grind, 2) if you don't do it enough the shop will be empty en then the rules of the new shoppingdistrict will get you real bad
False, don't forget you can trade your permits with other hermits if there is something that you would rather sell. You got some great permits but some might be super grindy (concrete). Or you could partner with other hermits that may want to help for a share of the profits. Just some ideas. Great video!
For joker, either Rockets (are you allowed to include tnt and gun powder?) or Logs. Congrats, False!

Honestly the best thing I can think of for you to use the joker on is rockets. After all it's only a matter of time before everyone gets an elytra and while enchantments are also really nice they don't guarantee the same level of repeat purchases

I dunno, with how many hermits decided to connect the server by roads and water, and how close their bases as they are, I can imagine that some of them might barely use elytra even to the end of the season

You can one up that and go for gunpowder. Steal TNT and rocket production.

Doc’s plotting to make everyone pay in sand, so using the joker for sand would be a huge economic move. Doc’s trying to make the sand shop essentially the metric for the value of a diamond.
And if she's making concrete anyway, she'll be getting sand for that, so might as well cash in, especially if she builds the sand shop close to the wood shop
I doubt this is a good idea - this would tie her with two other hermits - the prize for sand in diamonds will get lowered by competition and the value of docs goods in sand will fluctuate based of the time he wastes for other hermits with it, so this would make sense if she got the only sand shop, but if there is competition I can see the prize falling fast.
However, taking one of docs permits and allowing them to pay for it in diamonds instead of sand.................... That's a prospect.
That's the kind of thing I was waiting on... But the thing is. I need sand. So, it's not quite as genius as you'd think.

The smart move would be to use the Joker on warped and crimson stem (he's planning a log monopoly, but won't be able to get that from Big Salmon) and then he'll offer to cut you in on half the profits (half the sand) for the permit.
Looking at a lot of the suggestions makes me realize that a lot of people forget that the Hermits need to collect these resources cause it's their shop and it won't just appear out of nowhere 😂
Getting that vibe myself, think people forget we're in Survival and making videos sometimes. Everything takes us hours for real. 🙃

This is definitely the best use. False can just use it to get people to do whatever she wants as long as she doesn't actually follow through with it, and if someone refuses to cave, she can just steal their business.

Ideas for the Joker permit
1) Enchantment books (or just Mending books with the shop being called 'The Fisherman's Wharf' or something
2) A shop that sells deeds for land plots in the future market and games districts
3) As minister of transport, you could also sell boats and horses or permits to use them (operator's license)? 😅 could lead to some silly inspection moments. "Oi! You got a license for that horse?"

I don't know if permits would actually allow for the last 2 (especially a monopoly on things like being able to make minigames or ride horses, unlike regular ones just preventing others from selling that thing, it would actively mess up the experience for others by making it harder to just do things) but that could be interesting. If she did the first one, build it as close as she can to Grian's base to taunt him
Grian got a Mending book in his last episode. He is done with fishing for one.
Since you've got all concrete *and* a terracotta colour, maybe team up with people to make like a coloured-goods superstore

Saving up the joker would be nice because it could be used as competition with someone else.... or maybe a joint shop with Ren/Iskall/Beef to share the prize? The concrete permit is huge though, everyone loves a good concrete

False, getting *all the concretes* is absolutely bonkers. You have such amazing rolls!! I think if you get a monopoly on dyes, you will be set for life honestly.
Form a syndicate for the concrete... It is really lucrative but it's so grindy to make. The dyes are easy; squid farm, bonemeal farm, flower farm... you're golden. It's the harvesting of sand and gravel, that'll really eat your time. With a syndicate you can share the tasks and even get help with building the dye farms.
Joker suggestion, sell Diamonds, basically allows False to buy whatever she wants at a price that she sets, while everyone else that doesn't have a permit to sell certain items can just buy Diamonds using these items.
This could easily help her change the game several times and be flexible on what to trade for Diamonds.
Example:
Today she sells 1 Diamond for a stack of sand, which can help her buy some wood as the wood will be sold for sand
Tomorrow she sells 3 Diamonds for Trident and then sell that Trident for 1 Diamond block in a different shop
The possibilities are endless here.
In addition to that I don't think there is a Diamond permit anyway so she wouldn't be taking that away from anyone, therefore not ruining anyone else's plans "for now"

Joker should definitely be used for gunpowder or rockets. Maybe get one of the neighbors to help if it’s too much.
Or on something no permit exists for - like straight-up selling diamonds for all kinds of stuff.

I think that the best thing to use the joker for (at least this early on in the season) is leverage. If you threaten to take away somebody’s monopoly, they would probably be willing to cut you into their profits or give you reduced prices. You could seriously sweat doc by threatening to open a log shop that doesn’t use sand as currency
But doc would still outcompete since he is going to automate the log farming
@@brady1701 doesn’t matter! If doc holds a monopoly on wood and requires payment in sand, then hermits would pay with diamonds over sand since diamonds will become more readily available to all hermits as the shopping district gets more developed.

Congrats on the demise win! Oh that prize tho, a wild card certainly makes things very, very interesting. A chance to topple a monopoly, or maybe something else ( and I'm certain you'll soon be flooded with suggestions on what to do with that, lol) Lovely episode as always, your office is still so cute, and the neighborhood is actually really starting to feel like a neighborhood with all the roads coming together! those little features really make it :D
Concrete is a double-edge sword... Big profits, but a bit too much digging imo
Rockets would be a huge income source, i bet they are the most used item on almost any server ^^
You could use it for stamps, so the post office can't sell them and you indirectly control the mail system :)
For the Joker you should have a diamond shop, where you sell diamonds for other items you need
Since Docm77 will be charging sand and you got the concrete permit, making a deal with him, maybe involving the joker permit, could work out great.
I believe this team up has potential even if the goals aren't similar at the start.
based on iskall's video saying it's a "diamond printing machine", i think flying rockets would be great to use the joker permit towards :P
I have a suggestion for the joker, Doc wants sand and probably other stuff, he also made a tunnel bore which allows him to easily get diamonds, you could choose to sell diamonds for stuff and share the “profit” with doc for providing the diamonds, need stuff hard to get?, make everyone else work for you.

@@jaxonmcalley well, since doc is planning to sell stuff for sand, there is no reason false can't sell diamonds for concrete, sand and whatever else she needs, including the things she can stock her other shops with - so she can sell money for goods instead of selling goods for money if she so wants.

imagine being able to sell "a barrel full of stuff" or "a shulker box full of stuff" so you could "theoretically" be able to sell anything anytime you want

Bulk permit? Sell what ever you want as long as it is in bulk? Maybe do speicial orders and charge what you want? Maybe you charge gravel and sand, when you need stock for the concrete shop.
Joker ideas: Elytra, ALL netherite (includes debris), ALL prismarine variants, you could monopolize minigames this season if you really wanted to do so. You can monopolize all the deepslate variants as it is very grind heavy and could be charged for a premium. All storage monopoly which would be shulkers, chests and barrels. This would also include the ender chest. All end items is another option. Or even all nether items. Just some ideas. :D
Make the joker card the sand card to steal it from Scar, and then trick Doc into accepting it. He will charge sand for wood and then have to turn around and sell it instead of using it for any projects because he has to keep stocking the shop. Fully a move to mess with Doc without necessarily making more work for you.

If you use it for services you will get one of the stillest monopolies. You can then control all services. Maybe you can share the permit in exchange for a share of the profit so you can become rich. Maybe that’s like possible. They will probably wanna balance it so your can propose that the permit can only 5-10 services at a time. Maybe you can use that for something smarter.
You could also get like redstone or something really fundamental. You could also sell your permit in exchange for multiple permits. You could maybe achieve that by making someone jealous of someone’s monopoly and still your permit but that would be kinda risky because another person has the power to end any monopoly.
I mean stealing doc's monopoly on wood would lead all the hermit to your shop to not have to shovel sand, and it would annoy doc, which is funny
The best use I can think of for the Joker is content.
You could even make a deal with Doc being like: Cut me in with some of your sand profits and you'll agree you won't use the Joker to break his attempted monopoly.
That or make an agreement directly with the person who has the sand permit.

I think you won because you had the right combo of caution, PVP skills and ability to confidently seem quite scary.
And her genius 4D level chess play in the social aspect of the game. After all, Bdubs only got demise'd because Beef came up with a clever idea that he presented to Ren, and both of them had to convince Iskall to help. But, Beef wouldn't have been around and talking with Ren if it wasn't for False calling out his name with some silly "Hey Ren, if I'm in danger I'll say the codeword: beef"
It was a genius move and worked out so well. They still haven't figured out how clever it was, or at least, they're acting like they haven't. Heck, maybe False herself didn't think of it consciously, but that just means her subconscious is super smart.

I would definitely hold onto the joker permit for a little while to see how the dust settles. I can see it being used in an interesting storyline, particularly after watching what Doc's doing 😁
Setting up a piglin farm for gravel for concrete and you can use it for your joker card too depending on what you want to sell with it. Then you only have to grind endless sand :)
Should use the joker on Permits.... then all trades have to go through you
You could use the joker to sell hermits' services, offer the hermits a small cut of their services that you put up for sale on a noticeboard

Big brain move is to have the Joker on selling Diamonds, and then you can sell diamonds and the hermits pay with permits. You have the permits but the other hermits get to borrow these permits for you and make "your" shop that "you" own and mantain.

Logs for the joker. Doc wants to “force” everyone to dig sand. Offer logs for diamonds and your shop will overtake his easily. 😂
Doc is charging sand for everything he's selling - maybe you could make a deal with him to get some of that sand? Doc also has lots of gravel, since he has a bartering farm. That should make selling concrete easier.

You could claim all items with even or uneven numbers or go for contracts which only you can administer. You could contractually take over everything.

Tip for producing concrete: while it may not be that efficient, gravel is a possible result from piglin trades. Cleo would probably be willing to help with a bartering farm as she will need the soul speed books

Lichen is an absolute winner. The farm is dead easy. Sell them 1 diamond per stack. Get that shop made first and fast and they will come.
services, you buy chunks of time from hermits say an hour for 10 diamonds and whatever that hermits strongest skillset is, is what you then sell, say one of the builder hermits sells you an hour you can then sell that service for 20 diamonds, redstoner troubleshooting or setting up for an hour for 20 diamonds, essentially an agency for minecraft skills

Joker is rockets all day long if its sustainable profits for very little input you want. Gives you time to concentrate on the concrete.

Saddles and Totems require a raid farm to supply, which would also produce lots of other valuables like redstone, gunpowder and emeralds to sell via the joker
I think the Joker permit should represent sand or any type of wood. Just trust me on this.
Use the joker card to get a shop that doesn't exist on the list! That's the only way to get one
If it's a Petshop (And all their needs) furniture shop robots shop build shop a shop for services costume painting shop etc

Copper might be pretty good for the joker since it's easy enough to find and people have more use for it now? Personally I'd choose something that would be fun to collect so stocking won't become too much of a chore. Whatever you do, I look forward to seeing what the shop will look like!

JOKER Suggestion: Trade the "Joker" to the GOAT. 🐐
Get access to all his farms for the season. And maybe inquire about his sand... Between access to his farms and his sand, you should be able to supply unlimited concrete in the shopping district.

EDIT because I got an idea: Cleo wants you for The Revolution (fair enough, Ren has been minisistirirng for far too long) BUT, since Cleo wanted you dead, and Ren saved/got your back (in the best way he could) how about you betray the betrayer? 👀

You'd need to check with other Hermits if this is ok...but another trick is to maybe pick a collective...instead of an individual.
All the Glass
All the Wood
All the Terracotta
Etc.
This would also directly counter Doc...as you could All the Wood (what he's trying to collect) and stop his sand shenanigans that way.
Alternately pick an easy wood for you to farm..if you just want to provide for people who want generic logs.
All the Hermit Heads would be a funny one..
Postal Stamps (for the postal service) would also be funny...though check in with Pearl/Tango/Etho if they are ok with it...
or use it as a way to join the postal system, and be their supplier in the shop area itself.
Since you have gravel..if you're up to makeing the trading farms 'all Piglin trade drops' is another shenanigan.
Diamonds: You now have a shop where you buy stuff from others, they just bring it to your shop for you, with you setting the price...good for those who have a ton of a sellable but not the permit (there are like..3 or 4 iron farms I swear).
For something more serious, and without shenanigans:
Food/Golden Carrots (extremly easy trade to get on your own, and the farm is easy to make as well...and everybody eats it). Or grab some from any of the neighborhoods two trading halls (yes one is now hidden if you didn't know) I also have no idea who got this I havn't caught that hermit's video yet.
the joker could be used for a "diamond permit", where you accept other resources for diamonds, or you could do something along the lines of "mystery boxes"/"filled shulker boxes"? :)
The JOKER is huge. Im sure people would be willing to give you FREE Items to prevent you from just taking their business from them 🤣Hold on to that as long as possible because you can profit more just by having it. Either give it to me or I will just take it HAAAHAHA

So, as i dont know the exact rules for trading, can you make the joker be «any». As in, literally any block. Seems op, but depending on the rules, a rules lawyer can give you that.

Joker for rockets they always makes lots of diamonds. Shulkers (if you feel like making shulker farm) or emeralds (sincd you have saddles and totems you can make raid farm).

So if I've understood the letter of the law, those with permits have the right to sell goods. If you were to Joker diamonds, couldn't people "buy" your diamonds for whatever price you named, effectively letting you negotiate anything from anyone for diamonds? It'd be the wild card of the commerce system all season. Probably too silly but worth a think =)
Uhm... You can have someone supply you concrete and you just sell it.
In a way you prop up the economy by supply and demand. Probably have two hermits as your supplier of concrete.
