All American: Homecoming 1x09 "Homecoming" Season 1 Episode 9 - REEVALUATING - Simone and the gang rally around Amara as she struggles with what to do next as new information comes to light. Coach Marcus is excited about the all-HBCU baseball game he put together until an old teammate stirs up bad memories that could possibly derail everything. As Damon, JR and the team are focused on the game, they are faced with some challenging guests and new adversaries. Thea has a close call with danger which costs her one relationship and brings a potential new one into her life. Meanwhile, Simone struggles to explain to Jordan her friendship “break-up” with Damon. Damon IS THAT “FRIEND” she tells you NOT to worry about, but definitely has feelings for. Jordan has feelings for Layla, Simone has feelings for Damon. Once they get out of their DENIAL they’re gonna split. I have a feeling Jordan is gonna figure out his feelings for Layla first though.
Simone already figured out she has feelings for Damon. That's why she set the boundaries with him. To stop her from making a mistake. HOWEVER I do think Jordan will act on his feelings first. Him and Layla are slowly heading that direction but with alot of pace. This kinda situation is a common theme with these high school shows with these friend groups. Everyone gets a chance to date everyone 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Eventually Jordan and Simone will take a break but Jordan need to go outside thr vortex to find a new boo. And Dhea is aboit to ship before Simone and Damon will...that much I can see.

I actually like the idea of Simone saying she was emotionally attached to Damon because he’s physically there but also her realizing that she loves Jordan and wants to be with him so she places boundaries on her and Damon’s relationship. This is real life, situations like this happens. Now I like the idea of Damon and Thea, I actually can see them as a real life couple if it wasn’t for the show. Their small takes together I can feel the intensity in their chemistry more than I can with him and Simone tbh. You can show the pressures of long distance relationships but Keep these couples as couples. People actually last in real life but there will be tests

I think Jordan is such a stand up guy. I've really grown to like his character. Here he was such a trusting partner to Simone. I know that he and Layla have chemistry, but I don't think that at this point he has any romantic thoughts about her. For him Layla is a friend and Simone is his love. I just love how innocent his friendship is with Layla at this time.
I think they’re doing a real good thing with Jordan. Like he has that almost Spencer James wisdom to how he responds and views to what his friend or himself is going through. I feel like they definitely fleshed out his character.

God!! Can I get a boyfriend like Jordan. He is so great!! So mature and respectful. Damon is kool too but sometimes you have to pick the one you have loved longer and more. If I told my man about being emotionally entangled with some guy he would flip his shit. I really hope the writers give every high school sweetheart their dream that sometimes everything works out in the end.

I hope they get back together he truly loved and cared for her no matter what . he was the best guy , he changed his ways from being someone who changed woman like every week,into a respectful and truly amazing guy they ruined the whole show by adding Damon in it because I really wanted Simone and Jordan to end up together they were so cute and good for each other really hope things work out and they find out they actually love eachother but who knows maybe they might end up with different people hopefully not but people are saying they will so yeah

Don't know if anyone noticed too but in the elevator scene when Jordan asked about Damon and the people she hang out with at brunch she told him Damon wasn't going to be there and she looked really sad in the eyes and face then her facial expression changed before the next scene.

Man, I don't watch the spin off, but seeing this just confirms how immature Simone was/is. Glad Jordan got out of that situation and got a real woman.
Jordan was a way better partner to Simone, than she was to him. Jordan came a long way from Season 1 and 2 where personally I didn't think he was that bad. Jordan's maturity as a college freshman is awesome but he will mature even more by the time he gets to be a senior. This is the moment where they should have broken up. Emotional Entanglement is a terrible excuse. It's damn near impossible to be a D1 athlete and carry on a relationship with someone clear across the country. I like Jordan and Layla and the amount of time it took for him to realize after Simone that he had feelings for Layla was the epiphany he needed. They will be good for each other. Season 4 baby, I'm all in.
