I skied throughout my teens before switching to snowboarding over 20 years ago. Now that I'm 43, I'm thinking of renting some skis the next time I go up to see how I do! So this was fun seeing it from your snowboarder perspective :)

Oh yeah, I haven't really explored snowboarding outside of the northeast but I've heard exactly what you said from everyone haha

Haha that’s sick, I just switched to snowboarding for the first time this season and I have been loving it, gonna try to hit the terrain park next

Nice terrain park is really good for newbie boarders because it’s a lot easier to hit rails and progress I think you find you like it more because a lot of time it’s really hard for people to ski park

Haha idk how I was but I think I have good practice from falling so much xD

Comparatively with a complete novice he is not afraid of heights, not afraid of speed and not afraid to fall.

I would like to say that I found falling on ski's so much more awkward since I was used to falling either forward or back instead of onto my sides, a very strange experience indeed.

@@SnowSkateShred i think falling off from ski's is more safe even if you didn't take some lessons on how to fall

Hey I snowboard now but I feel like I am hesitant because I don’t feel comfortable with my body being sideways and I always try to ride my edges to face square to the mountain do you think I should try skiing ?

As far as teaching beginners goes, they’re probably about equal. I will say that skiing is somewhat easier for riding moguls and tight terrain since the jump turns or easier. Though on the other hand riding jibs, boxes, and rails is easier on snowboard.

SnowSkateShred I live here in SD and bought two pair awhile back from there store in PB. Just wasn’t sure if you your goggles were Blenders or not. How was the jump from boarding to skiing?? Been an avid boarder here in SoCal for about 15 yrs but wanna try skiing next month.
